I'm not negative, I genuinely didn't think we'd win today as, like I said, it is hard playing every few days. I'm not upset or angry if we lose today, and hopefully we turn it round, but if you look back at past seasons and see how teams of a similar stature to us do in the league when playing in the Europa league (and League Cup) then this isn't really surprising.

It's like being back under Poch (or Koeman at times). At least in our previous games under Puel, it's been poor finishing that's been the issue - but never really failing to create.

 

Agreed. We also don't put enough players forward. It's the front 3 against 8 Hull defenders with Clasie and Davis standing on the half way line.

 

Yeah I was just thinking the comments on here have made it sound like a Poch game.

 

What makes it worse is this hull side are so poor

 

Worst team in the league along with Swansea. The midweek game has made no effect to this performance as half the team weren't involved.

 

Davis and Clasie are clueless apart from passing backwards

 

I'm fine with Austin shooting rather than playing in Davis.

Why on earth did Boufal not start? He was fresh after not playing Thursday and Tadic played nearly the whole match. Ridiculous decision to start him on the bench.
