His qualities as a manager ended when he left Portugal, his chequebook management is only suitable to clubs that can afford his need to buy instant success, if that fails hes ****ed and has no plan B as has been seen this season.

He was very sporting in his post match interview tonight, he reckons Fener were playing CL final and man u were playing a friendly.<laugh>

"A team that concedes after two minutes is a team that is not ready, not mentally prepared, not focused, not concentrated," said Mourinho.

Conceding inside two minutes once, shame on the players.

Conceding inside two minutes twice, shame on the manager.

It's funny it's all about how X/Y/Z isn't good enough. Well are any of those Fener players technically better? Football is so often about the sun of the parts being more than the individual, yet when things are going wrong it's all about who isn't good enough. Well why aren't tongue good enough? Schneiderlin, Martial, Herrera, Darmian, Blind, they're all very good footballers who have done well enough to have impressed and got a tranafer.

Lallana, Hendo, Gini - none of them are brilliant. 3 solid players but coach them right and put them in a right set up and they can thrive. Coaches can make any player better. Look at Leicester, throwing money at things can solve it, but good coaches coach their players to get the most out of them.

Mourinho hung Chelsea players out to dry.....and he left a few weeks later. Now the same thing happening at Utd. Maybe he wants another golden parachute to retire on.

Can't see the malaise being long term.. think some of the United pundits are over-reacting.
They've got the best Keeper in the league..
Baily is top CB, Smalling is decent enough when playing alongside him.
Shaw is one of best young LBs in the country, just a bit out of form.
Once Jose realises it, he's got decent options in midfield too, man for man they aren't worse than us, on the contrary!
Rashford, Martial, two of the best young strikers in Europe..
Mata or Mikitikitakaterrian (loved him when he was at Dortmund) are quality #10s..
Think they just need letting off the leash.. But does that fit with Jose's style?
I wouldn't rule them out finishing top four, however, given they're 7-8 points behind the current top 4, they need to click into gear sooner rather than later, don't want to give teams at the top any more of a head start!

Man Utd have a lot of players who only function well in a successful team, but they aren't a successful team, and Jose shows no signs of knowing how to make them successful (apart from spend and spend and spend and eventually you'll hit something that works a.k.a. the 100 monkeys with a blank cheque strategy)

This isn't a blip, it's been going on since the start of the season. Man Utd had the easiest start you could have picked by hand and that's the only reason they aren't bottom half right now

He was last season, won them a **** load of points they didn't deserve. What's he done this season? Not that he's crap, but last season needs to be considered overachieving, so when he's underachieveing this season that's a lot of points they need to make up elsewhere. 6 goals conceded from the last 11 shots on target.

Yes Bailly's injury is unlucky but when you spend £149m in a window and then a single CB being injured ****s you then #noexcuses
Smalling and Bailly cost £40m. Matip, Lovren, Klavan, and Sakho cost £42.2m. It's not luck that the problems with Sakho haven't even affected us, it's good planning and management #eggsinonebasket

There's another £27m that could have been used elsewhere. A proper manager can get a player like Milner to do a job. This one's not Jose's fault but Man Utd are a mess top to bottom.

Midfields don't work as man to man in a league as competitive as the PL. There's literally no Man Utd midfielder I'd want to take right now #notevenjoking
Coutinho, Henderson, Lallana, Can, Wijnaldum, Grujic = 145 years
Mata, Pogba, Herrera, Fellaini, Carrick, Schneiderlin = 167 years, so even if they improve it's not a long term solution.

Martial doesn't even need to win anything to cost £55m in bonus clauses (plus another £7m if nominated for Ballon d'Or I've left out). Mourinho has sabotaged their development with the ego signing of Ibra. It could be the middle of next season by the time they recover.

And don't get to play there.

#summary Spending more money than everyone just to have "good but out of form/injured/unfit/not fitting the manager's plans" is an unsustainable #joke
