Never. SD is his lifelong passion. Its made him the man he is today. We will always be his side project. I suppose that is the same for the majority of clubs bar someone like Middlesbrough. The problem I have always had with him is for every good decision he makes or bit of support he gives, his next calamity is round the corner. Some is stupidity but some of it can only be by design i.e. he wants to penny pinch. He seems to get bored by the quiet - which is strange for a man so reclusive at times. I have no doubt he firmly believes in creative friction His biggest errors of course are always presented as the people appointed. However once you note the constraints he has them working under you realise he has been at the root of it all - not withstanding he makes the bloody appointments. I don't have a clue if he is for real this time, but I just find it hard to jump wholeheartedly into the keep him camp. Clearly with the revenue the club can generate, his wealth, and Benitez running the show there is plenty to be positive about. The potential with ourselves is always there and always has been for as long as I've been alive. We've just been incredibly adept through the years at running a **** shop. I suppose I'm just fearful of the next bout of creative friction One thing for sure if it happens, Benitez will be the type of guy to just say "**** you" and walk off.
Last time we went down it was as though he wanted to be disliked. The shambles leading up to the relegation (the previous year of 'business') and the renaming of the stadium meant that you'd have to have been insane to have not wanted him out. He has been lucky at times (the promotion was lucky last time, he didn't find a manager he happened upon one) and was iffy when we came up but then seemed to genuinely change about 15-16 months ago and since then we couldn't have asked for more from him in my opinion. If a new person with a clean slate had come in and done what he has since the end of the 14/15 season we'd be happy - if the new Ashley is how it is going to be from now on then IN!
The impression I am getting is that the general consensus is that success is determined by how much an owner decides to spend on his hobby , so now we can expect the abuse of Moyes to cease I take it
He hasn't spent anything on NUFC since he bought the club, save for £18m of a £29m overdraft he bankrolled during the 09/10 season which he has yet to take back out. All the money the club has spent was earned by the club itself. The point is he isn't trying to spend the minimum possible and bank the rest anymore. Probably. We hope.
Most of the abuse for Moyes is coming from your own forum (sorry the Sunderland one). Most of us here think you should keep him. If you dont like the abuse he is getting you might want to post there. http://www.not606.com/threads/what-would-you-do-poll.338356/page-6#post-9865267 While you are at it why don't you post a leaving thread. You might as well as they havent had one for a week or two
Can you stay up a bit longer and take Fredor off my hands. Got loads of work today and us self-employed have to stick together. Its not too much of a chore - just read his posts then post any random ****.
I have decided on a new approach, let's see if a Newcastle supporter can make you see the light " We put yer there " Classic
That could be easily explained as in this day and age people are holidaying in more and more exotic locations without WiFi coverage , I would imagine that this is what is happening in this case
Wrong again. Read the posts again. The general consensus is we would like a football club run like a football club. We want a proper football manager in charge and for him not to be hamstrung by profit seeking regimes. The first bit is more important
Once again you completely miss the point (just like your team). The millions that were spent were millions that the club had made in profit, not only as transfer profits but also as operating profits. All we ever wanted was for the club to reinvest the money it has made, rather than sitting on it. I don't think many of us want the club to spend more than it earns and go back to the days of Freddy Shepherd.
If only that were even remotely true , football being run on a business footing, where did you recoup the 130 million spent in the last couple of seasons alone
