Moreno is pony. I only hope you guys have now decided to stick with him over milner. Means chelsea have a greater chance of winning the league if you do that

I've said from the very start of the season chelsea are contenders. I've backed that up with cash as well (they were 12-1 before they played united).

The reason for that is conte. He's a fantastic manager and will make us play as a team and beyond our limits. We will be close provided we don't get key injuries and not playing in europe will help.

But yea deadly serious lol. This 3-4-3 is working wonders

Youre still massively reliant on hazard providing chances for Costa. Take one of them out the team and you look toothless up top as no one else chips in with goals. Remains to be seen if batman can step in for Costa when he gets his usual suspension if he can then you should be good. Hazard loses form or injury strikes and you're in trouble.

I think one thing you have seen is that we will be able to grind out the wins as we are looking very solid italian style.

I think we can replace hazard with Willian/pedro. Agree cesc and oscar probably aren't up to the job. I thought no one around these boards rated Costa? Just a big lump who does nothing right? :D.

Pedro and Willian although good players (and is take the later at Liverpool) aren't in same class as hazard. Neither can grab the game and dominate and create something out of nothing.

Costa is good at what he is. Give him chances in and around the box and he'll stick the ball in the net. Won't create much himself but with hazard in team he'll create enough for him.

I always thought the start of the season was uncharacteristic of a Conte team, leaking goals as easily as you were. He's usually defensively sound and hard to break down. To change the system like he has and getting what....4 clean sheets in a row? Shows his tactical nous. I'm glad we played you when we did, that Arsenal game was a kick up the arse it seems.

Lovren is OK if he doesn't have to do any quick thinking. You put pressure on him, he makes mistakes. I suspect in the case of Lovren and Moreno this is the problem. Unable to think under pressure.

Given the high value of an early goal to our play I would take this deal:

Moreno is guaranteed to get an assist in the first 20 minutes then guaranteed to give away a goal in the last 20.

    Would you?

That would help our GF column. Which would help in a tie (and make game more exciting) but overall no, I wouldn't take that (unless it was guaranteed he would ONLY conceed that one).

Except you can count all the assists moreno has made in the last 2 and a bit years on one hand yet the number of mistakes leading to a goal have been countless <laugh>

I believe Jurgen Klopp still have some faith in Moreno, for how long I don't know. Another option is to try
Daniel Sturridge in the LB. I am not sure he would take it?.

you were pushing an agenda to suggest that playing moreno was worth it as he would give 1 assist for every goal he concedes. It was a nonsense suggestion which i've pointed out by how much he actually offers going forward

Using stats that you didn't even give from a time when he was playing in a different team and even with a different manager

The point remains that Moreno's attacking threat can potentially be useful to us this season

Best 2nd choice LB in the PL #endof

barely the best 2nd choice at liverpool let alone the league. I would play milner, clyne, sahko, henderson, can, mignolet before him there. If i wanted a left back who could attack i'd stick sturridge there

Name a better 2nd choice LB then (who actually plays at LB not your "I'd rather play a GK there" agenda)?

my point is he's a terrible defender and all those players minus mignolet would probably do a better defensive job than him.

Luke Shaw, Azpilicueta/Alonso (take your pick on who is 2nd pick),Gibbs are all better than him as fullbacks

You could probably argue that Flanagan, Ben Davies, Clichy are at least on par if not better than him as 2nd choice lbs.

    I said LB not fullback
Luke Shaw is 1st choice (and no better than Moreno)
People are saying Flanno was lucky to not give away a pen this weekend, what's the difference apart from him not getting an assist like Moreno?

Name a #legit first choice and 2nd choice LB for a club where the 2nd choice LB is better than Moreno
