Ah sorry I read your comment so assumed Verst was under investigation for something else, I guess it was just the Rosb & Verst incident that is being looked at then.
wasn't really much Rosberg could do though, continue on the track and it would've been a crash. Hamilton on the other hand, could've come onto the track much earlier but didn't want to lose time and places, therefore he gained a massive advantage. Stewards won't do **** about it though, been obvious for a while they aren;t allowed to touch Hamilton.
They wouldn't have got him and any advantage was lost anyway, so any penatly for that would be very harsh.
I've seen Rosberg make similar errors under pressure from Hamilton with no penalty. Once is generally not punished. If he carries on doing it then he would be penalised.
they only do it to annoy you. as said the ROS/VES incident made the advantage look a lot bigger than it would have been.
I can think of 2, Canada, when they had massive brake problems which cost them the race, and Monza, where he lost loads of time. They didn't even bother to investigate it, just like they never bother to investigate when he forces people off the track.
I think it's a shame that Pirelli are making longer lasting tyres for next year. 1 stop races are quite consistently dire.
Any chance of another stop for the Mercs or will they easily manage these next 30 laps? If Ferrari have any sense they should let Vettel pay Raikonnen and let him push. The soft tyre has gone so well at this circuit, could someone go for a mad 15 lap stint to pressure those in front? Or is there not enough pace difference to pressurise?
Tilke has absolutely butchered this circuit. It's terrible. No chance to pass unless you're a second a lap faster, no tyre wear, no punishment for mistakes. Such a shame because with the fans here it should be one of the events of the season. Instead, it's this...
This. They keep talking about marketing into new circuits and then they make tracks like this. Let's get the racing and the tracks right first, and we will build the nice stadium second. Not build a cracking stadium prior and completely wreck all overtaking and one of the worlds greatest corners. This race just about symbolises how arse about face the sport has become. Get Ross Brawn into the strategy planning someone.
Rather that and gamble that more than one team has a chance of winning. This is ****. Can only imagine what the guests think of long term fans are finding paint dry more exciting.
