Or to look at in a remotely positive light, to have sacked him following the Telegraph sting, may have opened the club to a legal suit for wrongful dismissal, as the sting did not prove anything worthy of dismissal; naivety, greed - yes

So backing him, allows the club, at a later date to dismiss him for pure footballing reasons.

Jim has to work st it IMO
Results today again how daft it is
As said before Newcastle will win the league by March easily and Brighton Norwich will be there for second
Newcastle will also get thrashed by the season end
Nothing was touching us one year then we got done at home by Watford 3-0

IMO put promotion out of our heads
Jim goes IMO only if we are in the bottom three come Feb

We have to just steady the ship and go again once these players have been found out over more time

IMO we could of lost by a lot more

What planet are you living on? Anyone who thinks we are remotely in the promotion race needs to be sectioned. I always think goal difference gives a far better indication of the quality of a team and on that we're 21st, we're in a relegation scrap whether you like it or not.

Karl Robinson is available and he believes in playing the passing game and a good youth set-up, we could do a lot worse...

Sorry but many on here have not accepted that we won't challenge for a play off ... our next win then the mood will change on here and it will back on

I'd have been happy enough if Colin had come in as a replacement for Les and let him decide if he wanted Jimmy to stay as Coach, or not. But it's too late now for him. I have seen Alladyce and Pelegrino mentioned on here - they'd do if they would come here, but I doubt that. I don't want someone fired by MK Dons (who?) who only got 42% wins in lower leagues and got his team relegated from the Championship.

I don't think we are doing as well as we should but Jimmy is doing as good a job as most could with our Club and the unambitious Budget he's been given. While there is no great alternative available we might as well stick with Jimmy and strengthen the Squad January. Brentford and Fulham have much better players than us, so Jim's done well to squeeze 3 points out of 6 in these 2 Derbies. I like the bloke too - he maybe learning but he's learning well - made good positive changes 2nd half Saturday, we just weren't good enough.

Personally, I'd have dismissed him for 'purely footballing reasons' long before the Telegraph revelations.

The funny thing is we had several good managers before they turned up. One was never given a chance and the other was sacked prematurely by Tony!

I think a decent coach would get the players we have playing much better than Jimmy is.

I think you will find Leeds have improved since we played them.

The problem was perception. Even before the club backed him, Tony was hugging JFH on camera (the Fulham win from recollection) which does not suggest the club was making an objective assessment. Fernandes's footballing-owner credibility is to a large extent reliant on JFH achieving. Another failure is yet another large dent in whatever Tony's reputation is for football management competence - unless he immediately puts in place an achiever. On the squad that we've got, we're under-performing.

Agreed, we have the players to do well in the Championship, but we have a manager who doesn't know his best team or formation. Players are being played out of their positions. Hardly their fault. You cannot judge a fish by how well it climbs a tree!!! Blame JFH - I do!

Having the odd player out of position is fine, but not across the complete team. We had:

Right footed striker on the left wing
Centre mid on the right wing (in place of a right winger sat on the bench who can actually beat players and cross)
Then took off the unfit left back and moved the right back across to left (when we had a left back on the bench who had strangely been dropped after decent performances)
Then moved the centre mid from right wing to right back.

Couple this with a captain who is not a captain, caulker being **** at defending, and apparently no game plan, then we got the result it all deserved.

Played off the pitch by Brentford, who would have thought it!!!!!!

You overcook this Imo. Washington has done very little for us as a striker -1 deflected goal I think in a lot of games, but by all accounts he played well on the left and in particular did well getting back to support the young flying Finn. So playing him there again to help support Robinson in his first game back made a lot of sense. The Finn looked promising but not that good. Perch has often played LB, many claim he's better there than at RB. I agree about Pawel as I said in my original post, but I guess he''s not fully fit yet, and Cousins is probably better defensively and seems solid enough in all three 3 positions - including looking competent at RB.

Their football players not left backs or 10's.

By the way, their LB Bjelland is normally a CB, a Danish International one, but was excellent at LB Saturday.

I'm not criticising Washington, far from it, whenever he plays he works his socks off. And players out of position is not the only issue. You mention Robinson and Washington,, well it didn't work did it. Robinson was clearly not match fit and had to be subbed. By moving Perch to LB rather than ringing on the youngster he made 1 change in our back 4 into 2.

We have so many problems with the team performances and setup I really don't know whe to start. Other than I've had enough of watching the dross that JFH is serving up week after week. I don't expect promotion, I just want to enjoy watching my team play half decent football. The capitulation to a local rival was quite pathetic to watch. The management is falling way way short of what is acceptable at a championship club.

    You are so wrong.
Yes they're all football players, but playing players out of position, on a regular basis is a recipe for disaster.

Very over emphasised by many on here imo. Many players are equally good or nearly as good in more than one position, and with budgets, injuries and suspensions it is often necessary.
