    1. Stick with Moyes for the long term and accept almost certain relegation and a clear out of most of the top players.

    2. Sack Moyes and get Sam back. Give him some money in Jan and hope we can somehow stay up.

How much would it cost to sack Moyes though? would big Sam want to come back? would he be given any money ?
I'd rather have big Sam back, I think Moyes is dillusional, when I heard his interview earlier saying we have played really well in most games this season I nearly fell off the back of my dinosaur.

I'm for sticking with Moyes as he is having to deal with a horrendous situation. Plus you do not become a bad manager just because you do not get it right at one club. He was Manager of the Year three times in his time at Everton and given time and a stronger team he will get it right.

Option two. It's early days but I'm getting a very strong instinct that we're doomed if we stick with Moyes whereas before we got Allardyce my gut feeling was that he was the right guy for us which proved correct.

I wonder what the odds are for it. Long as **** I'd imagine.

The question I would have is what is the likelihood of you regrouping and coming back up out of the championship?
If it's unlikely then option 2 is a must I'm afraid
Hope things turn round for you,Sunderland is a great club

You're going down lads. You'll need a total root and branch clear out.
Only you won't get £60m for player sales as we did.
Big Sam probably wouldn't come back and save you, but if you offered him a King's ransom, he'd consider it.
My advice, for what it's worth, is to plan for the long term.

Whether or not Allardyce comes back, Moyes has to go. The lack of signings and the injuries aside, he doesn't have the verve, tenacity or the tactical ideas to get us out of this. He's out of his depth.

I heard a rumour this week that Sam is coming back, it was not from the most reliable source though, so I am taking it with a pinch of salt.

If we're completely adrift by January then I can't see Short spending any money, he'll just watch us go down. If he did sanction big money signings I can't see players of the quality we need wanting to come here.

What if we're already cut miles adrift? Whose going to want to come to a team that are say, 12-15 points from the nearest team?

I've said it the whole time, damage has already been done. I knew we'd be in this position like we are every season. Club's ****ed, destined to fail no matter what we try.

    I'm totally confused.
Is it the Manager who can't motivate the players?

Is it the players who just can't be bothered?

Is it Short who hasn't got a clue.

I think its a mixture of all three and we need a charismatic manager to lift the whole place and hand on heart I dont think David Moyes has that in his locker.

I've defended him in the past but its quickly becoming undefendable, so reluctantly its time for a change from me.

Probably. Sam on a decent length contract is our best shot at turning our fortunes around in the long and short term for me. Otherwise it's go down and rebuild but I don't have faith we'd come back up with this guy in charge.
