Nah, it's just some weird sense of entitlement they have, they think they should be competing for the title and at very least be in the top 4. One day it will dawn on them that they need to earn those things, not everybody will stand and watch their scintillating attack walk through them and score at will, some will actually take the ball off them and intercept poor passes. It's all good though. I have been told quite categorically that they score "enough" goals so Monday must have been enough for them
Apparently #kloppyflop has agreed that Steve G can return to the RS. Hardly likely story! Would one want to be constantly reminded of the time they were jilted at the altar? Stevie slipped and the rest as they say is history. And the irony is that they didn't even need to win that match. Poor stevie will be remembered as the player who extended the title less period of the RS. Who knows? to 40 years + ? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Anfield-legend-hints-days-LA-Galaxy-over.html
John Stones is playing a blinder as a "ball-playing" center half. Nice one, John Stones! I have to say that I really loathe the over-definition of how players/keepers should be playing. It's gone beyond foolish lately.
Yup, and Bravo is an awesome "Sweeper keeper". Pep is just a ****ing moron. A goalkeeper is there to make saves and command his box. Ditching Joe Hart is his biggest mistake so far. Not that I rate Joe Hart THAT much, he wouldn't be in the top 5 world wide keepers. But he is still FAR FAR better than One Eyed Willy and Johnny Bravo.
Whenever I hear the word philosophy and football in the same sentence, it actually makes me cringe. Wenger started that sht in the premier league. There's more talk of managers philosophy than actually giving players stable role and credit. Look at how Aguero started the season, yet for some "philosophical" tactical BS, he was left on the bench again Barca. That was actually hilarious. I miss the days of stable starting 11. This is now affecting our team so badly. These days, there's so much meddling with the team that everyone is confused who's a striker, full-back, winger, defender and play maker. It's a bit of mishmash.
Yup. Part of it is player's celebrity culture and media pressure because of it. Managers now feel that certain players have to start matches, and are even willing to alter formations, drop other, less prominent (but better performing) personnel, and try to basically fit square pegs in to round holes in order to accommodate players. Also, player's fees also have a say in it. Pogba for example, even though his form has been very hit and miss, were Jose to drop him, the papers would be all up in his grill, "Pogba £90m Flop" "Jose drops £90m Pogba" etc etc. Plus the fact that managers are judged, both by fans and the media, these days on the first 2-3 months of their tenures. If people do not see instant results, then managers jobs become at risk, so managers are less willing to drop the bigger names, and risk a backlash. It's just ridiculous, in a nut shell.
@Christiansmith seems to have gone #missing Strange, given how he was all tail up and Billy Big Balls a week ago :huh;
But Bodanki is still here. Rival fan on our rival thread. You should read his post above, you might learn something
So much for the best front 3 ever in the history of the wurrrrld. Look more like Keystone Kops. Stones has hardly broken sweat it's been that easy.
