Technically he was Macedonian. I didn't know the common derogatory parlance or nomenclature for a Macedonian so opted for a non-country specific wop instead of bubble just in case anyone Greek would be perturbed.

I had considered spik and dego but thought these too specific towards Spain and Italy respectively. The only solution would be to make more general assumptions of geography, create more specific terms based on country of origin or there is always the option of referring to foreigners in non-derogatory terms but I don't see that catching on.

 

Wogs begin at Calais, so you could have just said that. Wops, however, are specifically eye-ties, hence the confusion.

 

So Italians are eye-ties, wops and degos? Seems a bit greedy on the zenophobic slurs when poor old Macedonia hasn't got any.

I thought wogs generally referred to our darker brethren not our European cousins.
