The sole reason is because he thinks its better for his life. That's the only reason anyone chooses to live anywhere.
Daft comment, people move to places to work, they move to places because their partner wants to live there, they move to get their kids into a specific school, they move to places because they inherit a house there, there's all sorts of reasons that someone can end up living somewhere.
Or because they prefer it to somewhere else.Which is why you don't live in Hull. Who the **** would move to With for its schools?Schools are not very good, to say the least, in Hull but that is a ridiculous suggestion in this case.
He didn't suggest that was the reason in this case. He suggested it was one of the reasons people choose to live in a particular place. Which it is.
Whatever the rights or wrongs of the selection, he has been selected, and will be the Face of Hull. I wish him every success in that. No candidate would meet everyone's ideal as to what's required, so if we really need to judge, lets do it based on his actions. In my view, it's poor form to criticise things about him until he's had a fair chance to show his abilities. He'll no doubt get backing and support from PR types, so any of the issues some have made on this thread should be able to be spun into a positive and show he has the advantage of representing a broader community, and not just those limited by political created City boundaries.
All I go on is what you post, not any hidden meanings you laugh about to yourself. You post **** about Hull frequently. Case closed.
Laughable comment. I don't particularly want to live in West Yorkshire but this where my job is. I couldn't find this type of employment in Hull so I had to move. Where I would want to live doesn't have much impact on where I have to live.
What is arrogant about stating a fact? Command of English isn't one of your strong points. Surfing studies, parapsychology, David Beckham studies, golf course management are amongst not likely to have employers beating a path to your door in Hull. Or anyone else. However, there are harder ones which are not as popular because they are difficult, which will bring rewards. The biggest con trick know was to convince young people virtually everyone was capable of getting a degree. Especially in useful subjects. A lot havevwasted a few years and got into debt because of it. Increasing tuition fees will see a sense of reality return and a decrease in Mickey Mouse courses.
I didn't say it was in this case. Has he got any kids anyway? Just giving an example of where this would be avridiculous claim to make.
Any opportunity to laugh in Hull's face you will take it. 'Truth' has nothing to do with it. You just seem to have a motive of wanting to slag Hull off. You're always the cynical, arsey voice whenever a mildly positive story comes out of the area. Tell yourself whatever you want this is the fact. "But...b...but...mister...they made a joke about East Widing furst waaaah..."
He lives in With at his parents, plans to move in to Hull (not that it matters) when he can. He's been doing what a good chunk of people do after leaving Uni by moving home and saving. His Dad's a dentist in With not a barber.
You didn't move to West Yorkshire for a worse life, did you? True, where you would want to live is a different thing. I would like to live in the Cotswolds or the New Forest area. Unfortunately I moved to Leeds then Hull then back to the comfort of the East Riding for the same reasons regarding work.
I live where I live because I liked a house that came up for sale there, I didn't actually want to be in the village I'm in, when I bought it actually wanted to stay in Beverley, I ended up here by accident, rather than by design. As has already pointed out, I just listed some of the numerous reasons someone might live in a place other than the fact it's the place they wanted to live. In this particular case, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's just moved back in with his parents, but I really don't think it matters how he ended up living there.
i would rather live by the sea than hull or any city for that matter doesn't mean i don't like hull and he obviously knows the city extremely well and travels here
