Get a grip they're not that good. They won't play a full team so we have every chance as long as we put out a stronger team than tonight.
Might try and make that one if it makes members... need to check rota at work. Should have details by end of next week you imagine.
Just back from the game. Pretty dire game in all honesty that was lit up by Boufal. Best player on the pitch by a country mile. What a goal that was! I have never heard of the referee so it's OK for me to say he was ****.
In his interview, Claude didn't see it. That association with Arsene Wenger has obviously borne fruit. I saw Jose discussing the incident with the officials after the match and he appeared to confirm, with the hand gesture, that they reckoned a dive**. **I don't care. I don't care. I don't care if he [Moyes] comes round here. I've got me beer in the sideboard here, let mother sort it out if he comes round here.
Isgrove is not good enough and Stephens looked out of his depth at times. Olomola was very raw which was understandable.
Actually it was the League Cup. That's the trouble with all this Capital One and EFL stuff. It's the bleeding League Cup and that's it.
Tbf all he actually said was that he didn't think we would win a game against Arsenal. Not that ridiculous a thought!
I expect Arsenal will play a team with lots of backup and youth players getting a game again and only start to really play the first team in the semi final and final (if we make it that far!), might see a few first 11 players on the bench but who knows, Wenger likes to go with the youth in the league cup. Do you think Southampton will go with youth? Or will it be the first team playing? You've got the league and Europa league to think about with the game coming two days after you play Everton in the league, four days later it's away to Palace and then another four before you have a Europa game. With the fixtures being so congested do you have the squad to go full strength all the way through or will you be forced to rotate?
Yeah I know I just saw a golden opportunity to have a joke at a fellow forum members expense and couldn't help myself
He probably meant that we wouldn't win a game well against Arsenal [I'm assuming a typo]. Agreed, it could be tight. Especially if we play the kids again.
I normally sit in the Kingsland but had a ticket in the Itchen for tonight. It was really interesting to see CP coaching on the touch line form a bit closer. I was surprised how active he was, almost to the point of aggressive. Is he normally like that? Or was it just because there were a lot of kids on tonight so he needed to give them more direction?
