Tammy with Engvall alongside has to be the way to go.

last night Engvall touch and speed was first class, considering he has not played first team football for a while he looked very good.

Time to play them together Lee,let them cause havoc in the championship.

The guy looks class, will compliment Tammy up front.

4-4-2 then? Would you have Tomlin in the middle?

This is one idea I would like to see at least tried
    ---------------------Fielding
    -------------Moore---Flint---Mags
    O'Dowda-----Smith----O'Neil-----Bryan
    ---------------Tommo----Engval
    --------------------Abraham

Undecided about RWB, but it would be interesting to see if O'Dowda can cut it at Wing back.
PS The above is never going to happen

Hmm - I'm not against the formation in principle, but I'm not entirely convinced we have the personnel to use it effectively. The wing backs need to be extremely disciplined and work incredibly hard, to avoid making it either too defensive, or leave us exposed against wide attacks. It also potentially mean Tomlin isn't allowed as much of a free-role, if he needs to drift wide.

I agree that it would be nice to see another central attacking player introduced somehow, but I'm unsure how to do it without it being overly detrimental elsewhere. I think being able to switch between 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 isn't a bad thing, with moving to three at the back reserved almost exclusively for 'kitchen sink time'!

LT in the middle, behind the front two pulling the strings.

It's good that we are saying that he (Engvall) could be in the side - decent home debut I thought

    4-1-2-1-2? What's your lineup? Maybe:

    Fielding

    Bryan/Golbourne
    Mags
    Flint
    Matthews

    O'Neil

    Korey/Reid
    Pack

    Tomlin

    Abraham
    Engvall

This looks interesting to me, though need to be careful not to suffer from a possible lack of width. Options from the bench in Paterson and O'Dowda.

LJ has to get this nucleus in-

    First Teamers-Fielding-Matthews-Flint-Magnusson-K-Smith-O'neil-Tomlin-O'Dowda-Patterson-Engvall-Abraham

    Back up- Pack.Reid,Freeman,O'Donnell,Bryan,Golbourne

Young Taylor Moore was top drawer last night. "this kid has a bright bright future"

Little for me is not championship,so flat footed. "check back charlie"

Great looking team, just what I would choose & not forgetting we got Bobby Ried, Josh Brownhill, Marlon Pack & Luke Freeman too in the middle of the park & of course Aaron Wilbraham up front for final 20mins....young Taylor Moore is going to be a wonderful player too!

Very much so,time to build a settled team, with the odd change due to form loss or injury.

This thread has taken its current direction because of the eye-catching performances of Moore and Engval.
I agree, the sooner we can get our A-team established the better, but isn't it good that LJ has this problem - a couple of stand-out reserves who look like they could be on their way to becoming undroppable

Those of you who went on Tuesday; are Engval and Moore both good enough for the first team?

Moore is better at centre half than right back. Engval needs to get match fit but he does have a great first touch. Neither would replace the current starters unless they suffer a dramatic loss of form but I would be comfortable with either coming in in the event of injury/suspension.

100% on the display that evening.

Taylor Moore quality at centre half.

Gustav Engvall great touch, awareness, and speed for first proper game.

We must get Engvall alongside Tammy.

Moore can cover both Flint and Maggs. No concerns at all.

People have seen Moore, Engval did ok. Want to see far less of all this rotation. whats been lost in the 2-1 hoo ha is that City could have been four down as Hull had one off the line and hit the bar at 1-0 and 2-0. defensively not all that City.

You mean a shot off target and a defender doing his job? We could have been 5-1 up at half time if those pesky Hull players hadn't kept getting in the way!!!!
