Really good performance from a make shift team, especially second half.. Origi and Sturridge particularly good. one draw and the rest wins at Anfield this season now, absolute fortress.
Take that. Fringe players get some game time. Studge scoring. Ings back. Gini getting full 90 after his injuries. Lucas was outstanding at CB. My MOTM. Studge took his goals well, should have had at least 3 probably 4 with 2 more clear chances. Origi was brilliant in 2nd half as well. Stewart and TAA were great. Ejaria was ok, didn't do much but nothing really wrong. Might handling was good, saved one in first half across goal and held onto shot 2nd half where if he had spilled would have been a tap in. Overall happy.
That was near identical to West Brom on the weekend. Dominated, missed lots of chances and a poor piece of defending lets them get a goal from nothing. Both games could easily have finished 5-0
We destroyed them, Moss and Vorm saved Pochettino from a lot of questions about Spurs' lack of depth and tactics
Pretty much. Wanyama did make a difference but your boy grujic really faded badly. Lucky to make it as far as he did.
Thought it was a really good performance given it was the fringe players who had hardly played together. Should have been more.
But we won both...cause we created that many chances and converted some....Spurs did very little like WB and got gifted one to boot... I'll take that as improvement on creating **** load and scoring none with the opposition scoring their one chance lol...which is where we were very recently
Sturridge missed 2 sitters.. ings one total sitter. Dissappointing that. Origi has the total love of the crowd after one flick and it never stopped. Sturridge scores 2 and gets faff all.. Wondering why probably.
Theyve been training for it for weeks mark my words. Klopp had 9 of this team in mind and will have had it worked on for quite a while.
Already said why....every good performance is followed by his personal wee convo with God taking care of when he's been on a huff...rather than thanking his team mates, the crowd etc etc...nothing against him being religious but it seems to be yet again all about him...even with the big man....
#bbcsalford's question to the readers after the game is whether Sturridge will be sold in January #bitter ****s
We won, so I'm not going to be too critical, but I agree about the game management. Last ten minutes, hanging onto a one-goal lead, Clyne lays the ball off and runs the inside right channel instead of holding, we lose the ball and he's out of position, ball goes across to the lad on their right side who is completely unmarked but fluffs it fortunately. Gini can't get back with him and Moreno (who was ok generally) was nowhere to be seen. If that had gone in I'd have been furious.
while obviously disjointed (as were Spurs) due to the make shift teams there were bits of really nice play and we should have had more goals. First performance this season where Origi looked up for it. Studge got in the right positions but poor finishing apart from first goal. TAA encouraging apart from seriously dodgy first half pen
Like that Klopp refuses to big up the young guys....he'll give them proper applause behind the scenes because his opinion is the only one that should count for them
