He has always kept SD and NUFC money separate according to him, should have no effect on us.

I didn't read it but I'm guessing it doesn't matter as it has nothing to do with Newcastle. He won't take money out of NUFC to fund that and he won't take it out of his other businesses to fund us.

Technically yes. But it might make him even tighter as he will be wary that other businesses are doing poor.

If Sports Direct does well we see none of it, but if it isn't doing well I fear we could suffer as a club!

He never 'said' it, he just did it. And actions speak louder than words

How do you know he did? Where is the £35 million? Or wage bill will have barely increased, training ground improvements will be of minimal cost in comparison to £35 million. Oh sorry I forgot Demba Ba's agent pocketed £20 million from that purchase!

I suppose the good news here is that he may be more tempted to sell the club!

I'm no business guru but didn't Sports Direct just post record profits?

Surely that's more important than what is just a crash in the stock market which has affected everyone seemingly, and not just Ashley?

    Are we all overreacting again?

If he wanted a quick return maybe, but he may also feel more need to keep hold of it, since football clubs aren't affected by the world economy in the same way as traditional businesses.

SD recetly recorded profits of £200mill, so with a loss of £204m he is £4mill down? Maybe scrambling for Cabaye's receipt!

The only impact will be more advertising around the ground possibly...
