He's capable of playing at both ends of the spectrum, in my opinion. Howe rushed him back from injury for our game last season, after Federici conceded five against Man City, IIRC. It was clearly too soon, judging by his horror show.
I agree, he's never too far away from having a stinker. He can be hot headed as well, but as I say, he has played well consistently this season.
I'm not sure Bournemouth have improved sufficiently to go from losing 1-5 last season to beating Spurs this season. 3-0 at WHL too was it?
Tibbers, it's none of my business, but I think you might need to put it here : http://www.not606.com/threads/spurs-prediction-league-bournemouth.337620/ (And name the Spurs goalscorers )
Considering Bournemouth will play football, if I were Pochettino I would play as near as possible to the team that faced City. It looks like Davies instead of Rose, and will be Dier for Alderweireld. The other changes from that team that are at all likely, IMO, are Janssen for Sissoko and Dembele starting. I'm not sure what changes the latter would involve. I would guess Eriksen would move back to LM and Lamela to the right. It would be a good game for N'Koudou to come on at 70 minutes.
For all his hard work, I think Lamela needs to be benched. Some disappointing performances recently and plenty of options who will all be keen to impress. Otherwise agree with the Citeh lineup and tactics. Don't see Bournemouth using any PSV licenses on the pitch this afternoon!!
Tottenham make two changes to the side that drew 0-0 at Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday. Kyle Walker returns at right-back to take Kieran Trippier's place, and striker Vincent Janssen drops to the bench with midfielder Moussa Dembele coming in. Spurs XI: Lloris, Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Wanyama, Dembele; Lamela, Eriksen, Dele; Son. Subs: Janssen, Vorm, Trippier, Sissoko, Wimmer, Winks, Davies. Courtesy of the BBC
Wimmer appears to have earned his spot on the bench back from Carter-Vickers. Probably allows the youngster to get more game time for the academy side, too.
I can understand trying to replicate last season's result, but I'd rather avoid conceding the early goal, thanks. Good job Lloris is awake.
Danny Rose suffering from England Defender Disease. Caught under the bouncing ball, again. Clear trip on Lamela not punished, there. That's poor.
Would tend to agree - but Lamela has a tendency to get frustrated with himself and lose the plot. The first 15 minutes has rather supported that as well.... going down too easy when in a good position and then giving away a stupid freekick soon after. Bournemouth looking far more dangerous so far
Alli with the double nutmeg, followed by a very decent shot by Lamela. Boruc had no idea where it was. Very unlucky. Then the Argentinian's straight in the book. Silly foul, but he barely touched him.
And right on queue he pops up, links up with Dele and goes on a great run and hits the post. Eriksen just continues to jog around and still not a hair out of place!
