Any thoughts about the all red team strip? I like the shirts anyway, but red shorts too? I think I like that also.
Dont know how we lost but i was well impressed with our support in the San Siro this evening. Well done lads and lasses.
Millwall? All Hampshire teams are lovely!!! And I would rather any Hampshire team win over anybody else. I expect even you were delighted when Pompey turned Manchester United over on their way to winning the FA Cup.
I am sure we'll be a bit more realistic by tomorrow. Win at City on Sunday and tonight's result will be a fading memory. In fact I am optimistic about Sunday.
How on are the 5th best team in La Liga, a team with huge experience at this level, losing 2-0 to Genk of the Belgian League?
I was watching a US stream and the commentator on there was joking about that point where Jay got onto a ball into their penalty area and the defender blocked his shot. The joke was that the defender was saying "you're not fast enough to get past me". He wouldn't have been saying that a few seasons ago. I'm afraid Jay's lost the main thing that made him special. It MIGHT be match fitness but I hate to say that I just think he's lost his pace. I type this wishing I was wrong; I'd be happy to be wrong. Vin
I don't know why everyone has given up on us beating City. Odds may favour them, but not massively. We are a good side on form....wouldn't be startling if we won.
That is very decisive. A double no to Millwall!!! Looks as if we are in one of several groups of death with maybe 8 points being sufficent to get to the next phase, 7 won't be enough. Some impressive performances around tonight- Ajax, Shalke, Zenit, Shaktar, Manchester United (this is their level) and Maccabi. Hopefully the winners will come from here and not the CL dropouts.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37688282 There was plenty to enjoy in Saints' build-up play, including marauding 21-year-old left-back Sam McQueen, who looked like a seasoned campaigner despite making his first start for the club.
Jay may have to adjust his game if he has lost that surging pace. I would advise any footballer, from top level professional to a youngster learning the game to look at CR. No longer do we see the searing pace down the flanks. He is now in the box, setting up chances for his team mates as well as himself. His performance on Tuesday was wonderful, apart from his direct free kicks.
You're the experts on that front. Still excited about that season? Bet you £500 it isn't our last foray into Europe even this decade. You should take me up on it; that's enough to run your club for a month. You see we, unlike you, live within our means. We buy players with money we have rather than with money stolen from local businesses and repaid at 2p in the £. We haven't splashed out on player salaries we can't afford. So we're set up to keep doing this. We had two players starting tonight who cost us nothing. Enjoy your history, old fruit. It is, after all, all you have. You certainly don't have a future. We do. Cheerio! Vin
