    Correct ...Sunderland played Arbeit Nurenberg in the eugenics cup ..However, they were disqualified for fielding too many fngers and too few surnames

    That said, the Sunderland players family turned up to watch ...hence the highest attendance

    Interestingly enough, we are 4 points better off than we were in the Championship last time at this point, this time W9 D1 L3, last time W7 D3 L3. We did go on a mental run after that last time though, and win the next 7.

    So far, the Mackems have won only two away games in the league in 2016....the last one being in April. On Saturday, they come up against a West Ham team which are starting to show some form.

    Will Sunderland add to their meagre 6 league goals this season? Let's hope not! :1980_boogie_down:

    And only one in the bottom 7 I think.

    As for the 'mental' 7 game winning run, aren't we on 4 games already? Of the next 8 games we will win at least 6, last night was one I was more concerned about than most.

    NUFC scored the same amount of goals in ONE MATCH this season (QPR) than the whole of SAFC have scored in the league this SEASON.

    In 2005/2006 when SAFC set a 15 point record...... they had 5 points by the time they played their 9th game.
    in 2016/2017 they have 2 points after 9 games.
    Less than HALF the points they had when they were classed as the worse ever.

    Sunderland fans wouldn't go around blaming referees. But they may be worried by yet another game where they had more fouls than the opposition.
