SUNDERLAND, UPDATED: OCTOBER 14, 2016 7:41 AM VIEWS: 1,689, BY ICS Sunderland are one of five clubs reportedly interested in signing out-of-favour Barcelona right-back Aleix Vidal in January. The 27-year-old has been at Barca for more than a year, having originally signed for £15m in June 2015, but has started in only seven La Liga games. In fact Vidal, who is under contract until 2020, has not featured in the last four match-day squads named by Enrique. The Catalan club are currently on the lookout for a replacement with Vidal expected to be on his way in January – either on loan or on a permanent deal. Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo last week revealed the names of five clubs they claim are keen to pick up Vidal during the next transfer window. Sunderland are joined in the race by AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli and struggling Spanish outfit Granada. The Premier League side would have to find £13.5 million to stand any chance of luring the full-back, who is also attracting interest from Serie A, away from Camp Nou please log in to view this image Barcelona would demand around £13.5 million for any deal involving Sunderland-linked defender Aleix Vidal, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Black Cats are one of a number of clubs said to be keeping an eye on the 27-year-old full-back, with AC Milan, Napoli, Inter Milan and Granada also in the running. It had earlier been suggested by Sport that any of the interested parties could see a loan switch sanctioned with a view to a £11.65m permanent move. But it now appears that they would have to dig a little deeper in order to land a man Barca snapped up from Sevilla in 2015. please log in to view this image
