The Hoops know a victory will close the gap between the two sides to just one point whilst a City win will keep them in the play-off positions. The R’s are unbeaten in their last four league matches but have not won at Loftus Road since the start of the season. The Robins saw their three match winning streak ended on Friday when they lost 2-1 to Cardiff City in the Severn Derby. It’s fair to say Lee Johnson’s side got off to a great start to the season winning their opening two games but they then struggled, going on a run of just one win in six games. However, the three victories on the bounce - which included putting four past Fulham at Craven Cottage - propelled them right up the table and into the play-off positions. City were promoted to the Championship in 2015 following a remarkable season in League One where they picked up 99 points and scored 96 goals as they comfortably won the division. Despite finishing in 18th position last term, they were never in any real danger of relegation, ending the season 12 points away from Charlton who concluded the campaign in 22nd and consequently went down. Now under the guidance of Lee Johnson, who they brought in as manager from Barnsley in February 2016, City look a well organised and dangerous Championship outfit. During the transfer window they signed 12 players including Lee Tomlin from Bournemouth, Callum O’Dowda from Oxford and perhaps most notably the league’s most in-form forward Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea. please log in to view this image TEAM NEWS QPR: Grant Hall went off injured at the weekend and is a major doubt for the visit of Bristol City. Jack Robinson stepped up his return to fitness playing for the Under-23s last night ironically against Bristol City but this one is expected to be too soon for him whilst Jake Bidwell and Jamie Mackie remain out. Bristol City: Tammy Abraham is a doubt after missing out on training on Sunday whilst Joel Ekstrand has been ill but is still expected to play. Adam Matthews and Korey Smith were going to be involved for the U23s but are now likely to travel down for the game at Loftus Road. please log in to view this image FIELDING LITTLE - FLINT - MANUSSON - BRYAN O`NEIL - PACK PATERSON - TOMLIN - FREEMAN ABRAHAM please log in to view this image PRE MATCH TALK Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: "They have got a lot of energy, a lot of know-how, they battle, but they can also pass the ball. Their manager has got them going. They play nice, competitive football and it is going to be a big test for us where we once again need to try to win our individual battles. We must win them so we can get a foot-hold into the game." Lee Johnson: “JFH always sets his teams up well and will press us high up. There's been a lot of changes in our squad since the final day of last season (where QPR beat us 1-0) but our philosophy is the same. It was a punch in the gut to lose a local derby but we can't get too down. Hopefully the group we put out will have the confidence and energy to get us a result.” please log in to view this image MATCH ODDS QPR win: 13/8 Draw: 23/10 Bristol City: 9/5 QPR first goal scorer: Tjaronn Chery 5/1 Bristol City first goal scorer: Tammy Abraham 4/1 LAST TIME OUT QPR 1-0 Bristol City – Championship, Loftus Road, Saturday 7th May 2016 QPR goal-scorer: Karl Henry HEAD TO HEAD (In all competitions) QPR wins: 32 Draws: 25 Bristol City wins: 25 MATCH OFFICIALS Referee: Andrew Madley Same ref who did the 0-2 to Preston Assistant Referees: Mark Russell and Andrew Fox Fourth official: Kevin Johnson Other Facts And Stats QPR are unbeaten in their last 12 home league games against the Robins (W7 D5). Bristol City have only won one of their last 10 league games against the Hoops (D5 L4). Current City manager Lee Johnson scored for the Robins against the Hoops in an August 2007 clash which ended 2-2. The R`s haven`t won a league game at Loftus Road since the opening day of the 2016/17 season (D3 L2 since). Tammy Abraham is the only player to have had a hand in 10 or more goals in the Championship this season (eight goals, two assists). Massimo Luongo has made a league-high 44 tackles this season, which is at least 26 more than any of his QPR teammates. No Championship side has conceded more goals at home this season than QPR (11) - although six did arrive in one game vs Newcastle. Only Tom Cairney (39) has created more chances in the Championship this season than Tjaronn Chery (34). please log in to view this image TUESDAY’S OTHER LEAGUE FIXTURES Kick-offs 7:45pm unless otherwise stated Barnsley v Newcastle Birmingham v Rotherham Blackburn v Nottm Forest Brighton v Wolves Derby v Brentford Fulham v Norwich Ipswich v Burton Leeds v Wigan Reading v Aston Villa (8:00pm) QPR fan and Swedish! @qpr_anna https://twitter.com/qpr_anna please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Dished out to members who barely go, but not to season ticket holders who go week in week out. please log in to view this image Not quite everyone though huh? please log in to view this image
Thanks Nines! As I just wrote on another thread, I really hope Jimmy plays Lynch where you have him at CB.
In response to Make Some Noise ... Our latest episode is called #MakeSomeGoals (listen: http://ift.tt/2djgUcD ) & we're encouraging the players to back our campaign... please log in to view this image
I'll give you my badge and book if it upsets you so much Nines. If they ever arrive. Thanks to Windom and Sku (where's he gone?) I have a badge which is even more limited edition and better.
That's not the point. Inside the box it reads ... '' Our crest ... created by you the fans, to unite everyone who follows our club '' So not everyone then. Lee Hoos took the stickers off our seats to save £20k and then has the audacity to send this **** out to fans who some of which never go to games. Season ticket holders who go week in week out get **** all. It's another own goal by the club which now seem to occur on a weekly basis. Still at least I get the chance to Make Some Noise instead. An opportunity that the stay at home couch potato members don't as they sit there writing in their ****ing journals while wearing their limited edition ****ing club crest. I'll be in The Bull, Westfield later if anyone wants a cheery pre-match pint.
Just arrived down the Bush ... looks like some QPR fans have given up on tonights match already... please log in to view this image
I'd already made plans on Saturday to meet some friends in The Bull Ian. Stainsey will be in the Crown and Sceptre though.
You can't make me guilty about not being mug enough to buy an ST Ninesy my lad. And I've still seen us win at home this season! I'll be using the journal to record all the best posts from here. Your one will be the preface. You are right of course, another cock up by the club.
What's your name, Chaz? It wasn't aimed at you or anyone else on here specifically. A lot of our posters on here live abroad so can't get to games anyway. It was aimed at all the grovelling fans who Tweet their pictures of their goody bags and its contents so that QPR can retweet them on twitter. I bet they'll be tweeting away from their bloody sofa's tonight. Enjoy your journal sir.
