Yup i agree with that. He stays down to try get rid of the cramp and then gets subbed off straight away.

Think of Fifa when your man has no more energy XD

In fairness coutinho and firmino did travel with Brazil so there is that but they had ample time to get back this time.

to be fair Valencia played fulled matches for Ecuador in stupid altitude too. Valencia is a beast though. Plus he didn't have to run forward much compared to firmino who was everywhere

If you look at the touch from Firmino, it went more towards goal which helped Valencia (bloody impressive turn of pace and tackle mind).. had Firmino's touch taken the ball slightly away from goal, no way Valencia can make that tackle without giving away a Pen.. Firmino may have been able to get a shot away too.. small details..
Again, taking nothing away from a superb bit of defensive work!

angle was already acute. If the ball was further away it may have been impossible to score.
Only possibility is winning a pen.

Didn't think it was that acute?? I'd watch it again to confirm, but even the highlights would be dire!

It was, but I said last night, and I'll say it again, Geronimo is no #9 - had that been Studge then Valencia would never had made that tackle.

Hit the nail on the head.

Why do the fans think that someone like Mourinho has a duty to come at Anfield and attack? To provide entertaining football? Knowing full well that he plays an open game against us he will lose as we will counterattack at speed as they lose the ball.

Klopp knows that and is sensible enough not to have an ounce of blame towards Mourinho. He did what was his best for the team. All this talk about Ferguson would not have done it this way was nonsense. Any manager will do it his way. And those who just want to ape someone else always gets found out. It was up to us to come up with a system that breaks their defence down. It is also plain stupid to say that because he had the most expensive squad he had to attack or else he is a coward. And to guarantee us the 3 points?

We have to be smarter. Our players need to play their normal game and not be fazed by big names. It is up to us to get the wins and not expect the oppsition to play into our game.

Anyway, one good bit of news from last night's events - I went for half an hour on the treadmill in the gym and the sweat seems to have released the Fitbit that I accidentally superglued to my wrist as I watched the game. I know you were all worried.

Seems Dr Hibbert is right about these things, though it wasn't actually fear sweat.

What was concerning was that we knew exactly what he was going to do and still couldn't stop it. Monghino didn't pull any tactical rabbit out of a hat last night, and I mean that as no sour grapes. Our plan B seems to be relying on a 30-yard wonder goal from Ford - pity they have a wonder keeper than.

However its very difficult to score when your number 6 and your cb play the ball between them selves for 90% of the match, because your number 6 is to scared to turn on the ball and play it forward.

    'Me? I say nothing'
It’s that man Jose Mourinho again.

And his blabbing has definitely got him into trouble, with his pre-match comments about referee Anthony Taylor having prompted an FA investigation.

Now the Manchester United boss has until 6pm on Friday to explain his words.

He was given a touchline ban last season for doing the same when at Chelsea. When will he learn?

Man Utd finished higher than Liverpool last season.

Man Utd spent £160m+ whereas Liverpool made a profit on transfers.

Mourinho said Liverpool were better equipped for this game so he parked the bus (maybe not in those words)

I know it'll get dismissed as me being biased, bitter or whatever else but I genuinely couldn't stand that cock as manager. Zero desire to play football, it's 100% points at whatever cost.

TBH, I don't believe Man Utd fans are entirely happy with playing like that. The ones that say they are are bloody liars!

I think what he actually meant was you have had 64 competitive games to get used to your manager and gel as a team, we have had 11 :emoticon-0100-smile

When Mourinho is manager, having only 11 games is an advantage. They haven't had time to develop a passionate hatred of him yet.

Nice twist attempt. Tell me, what is different about Jose and LVGs styles?
