From the BBC: What next? Southampton have a tough week ahead, visiting Inter Milan in the Europa League on Thursday before visiting Premier League leaders Manchester City next Sunday. #livingthedream Who would have taken that in 2009
Anyone worried/curious about ticket situation, the club seemed to have clarified here. What's strange for me is, my mate bought a ticket on another membership name, we put his passport details in the form and no one has contacted him to cancel it. Could it be they just weren't bothered and sent his passport details instead cancelling the ticket?
If inter are taking this as seriously as originally suggested then nothing about this screams quick and efficient. With the tickets just a name handwritten in biro, I'm picturing some bloke with a clipboard at the other end frantically searching and ticking names.
Same as that. A few of my mates have tickets with somebody else's name written on them but they provided their passport details when buying the ticket. The club say that the passport details will be checked yet they've sent tickets out with names that don't match passport details...!! I think that as long as you can match your passport with a name on the list it should be OK, I don;t think they'll be too bothered about the name written on the ticket.
I think they'll be stricter than some think. Tickets will be checked twice apparently with a checkpoint before getting near ground
The club just told me they sent all the details over to Milan that were put in the passport details form, in which case my mates name should be linked to the ticket and the biro name is just to ensure everyone knows they have the correct ticket.
They might have a barcode scanner that brings up all the details when the ticket is scanned. Good luck to everyone though hope you all get in
Thanks! That's what I'm thinking. My mate only supplied his passport details and the club hasn't queried this at all. So if it's the case I imagine he'll be fine.
I think that is exactly the biro name - if you bought 3 or 4 tickets for you and kids etc, you wouldn't know who is who and no guarantee that you'd all arrive at the same time etc. This way my ticket is mine - as LL said, probably a bar0de scanner that will bring up passport details. STOKED now!!!
Spoke with Italian Railways this morning. Confirmed that all Freccia trains will run as normal on Friday, which is great for me as I need to get back to Turin to fly home Saturday morning. But did confirm Union Strike on Friday with delays for other services. Also spoke to Milan this morning, who said original passports required at turnstiles? All very confusing, but will take my original not a photo copy, to be safe.
I've just bought a Milano card, 15€ 48h unlimited public transport and entry to touristy stuff. Apologise if mentioned before, I haven't time to read through all the posts, I'm on the bus to the airport!
