Apparently it is used in the phrase "Man U Never Intended Coming Home". The initials spell out 'Munich'. My counter argument to that is you could put Manchester Utd, Man Utd or Man United there instead and the initials would still be exactly the same and the phrase would be the same.
As a United fan of 50+ years I will honestly say I have never seen the need to be offended by this name and have often used it myself when asked who I support. I do take great offence to many of the songs City supporters sing though.
Yeah its just a shortened way of saying your long winded **** name I dont know what City fans sing though Hopefully there will be no **** songs Mon eve, some very **** songs to say the least last season Anyway, I dont want to give knobheads air time. We've all got them!
Yup. Loads of songs from Leeds, Liverpool & City fans to be offended about, the phrase 'Man U' simply isn't one, like you say.
See that was sorted pretty quickly, now if Utd win on Mon hopefully we can get Diego's ban off this board done as swiftly
