LFC have taken "a chance" more times than man yoo in the last 26 years though Diego, your club has had stability for the vast majority of that time due to the length of time Fergie was at the club, once he'd found a winning formula there he could afford to take the odd chance or two. Our club has not only taken "chances" on players but also on managers that were responsible for us not winning the title in the time you mention. Your "wages don't matter" point is not very valid in terms of the wealth of your club can swallow up any overpaying of players wages, the same doesn't apply to less wealthy clubs or those with a rigid pay structure, your club has since Ferguson retired thrown OTT transfer fees and OTT wages at players that ain't worth it, that's not the sign of a continuously successful club, its the sign of a club desperately trying to buy immediate success at all costs, it also doesn't help other clubs because it overinflates the transfer market. Also, LFC during the time you stated almost went into administration which obviously had an adverse effect on our transfer dealings and the terrible choice of Hodgson as manager in the aftermath, our present owners who knew nothing about our national game went in blindly thinking they could take care of footballing matters as well as financial and corporate matters, they even had their own "soccer" expert who was really a baseball expert choosing our manager and having a say in player choice and purchase, but they've deffo wised up since then(thankfully). We seem to have found a manager that given time and money to spend on players he wants will bring us back to the top table.
lets call a spade a spade here.... Utd were just far better run than LFC... right up until the glaziers came in that is Utd were really well and professional run with foresight on and off the pitch. You are right though since ferguson has gone and the clown who's at ceo and 3 managers in a row have tossed cash wildly at the issue at hand. you are dead right they are chasing their tales and remind me of sounness et al at LFC. the reality is they have largely stood still off the pitch bar cremaing cash left and right. stadium.. nothing.. facilities.. nothing... the one spark they had was kids were very very good and they have started selling those off.
Each manager has spent more than the last and delivered worse football. At this rate, next season they'll have Fat Sam paying £227m for Lukaku.
There you go guys actual proof qpr Ted only supports Liverpool one day a week the other 6 being devoted to Man Utd,Everton and graphs commitment eh?
