Big change in the managers thinking today. 3 strikers on the pitch at the same time to see the game out and, it worked...I'm happy about that, it shows he's learning!
I thought Jacob had a quiet game today, but all the other players played well I - even Rusty had a good game. Edit - I see Wes got MotM from Archant and I can't really argue with that. Pritchard's pass for Wes's goal was sublime though.
Just read that Jerome "Touched the ball into the net". Suppose he is still sh*t too, like Naismiths goal. We'd be better off without either of those tap in goals, hey?
I think the difference here is, Jerome worked his arse off again today and deserved his goal, Naismith doesn't put into a game what Jerome does. Plus you could conceive that Jeromes goal was the match winner. Although I was happy to see 3 strikers on the pitch at the same time, I can't help wondering why Naismith seemed to have preference over O'liveria? I'm going to take some convincing that Naismith has proved he's worth the transfer fee! Saying that, I'm not one of Tettey's biggest fans but thought he had an excellent game today, Dorrans is another one thats standing out. Back 4 were good, we just need to start slamming in our chances and we'll walk this league.
Don't know what was wrong with Jacob today, he was miles off his previous performances, Josh did well when he came on. I think Pritchard allowed Wes to get further forward and support Jerome, promising pairing.
Jerome also got 90 minutes, and Naismith got 12. They both scored 1. I think you have to excuse the fact that Naismith didn't put in as much effort as Jerome, as he played 78 minutes less. The fact his. He scored a goal in 12 minutes he was in a Norwich shirt. Fair play. I don't think you can say he didn't work his ar*e off when he only played 12 minutes and still scored a goal. I don't think you can compare him to Jerome, because he actually gets played, and therefore are very different roles. Today Naismith was an impact sub. He nailed his job today. I just feel today is a day to lay off him a bit, and give him a little credit.
Sounds like Pritchard had a stormer. Wes too, to think people have been saying he is 'past it' for the last 5 years!
You've mis-understood me, I wasn't meaning todays game, I meant his general performances. Quote from post 87..."Naismith doesn't put into a game what Jerome does"
Naismith has been abandoned for a while now. He's given a return of 12 minutes and he scored a goal to confirm the win. Just think he should have a night off the hate.
An absolute screamer from one yard, loads of skill and dedication in that!!!! As I said previously my dead granny wouldn't have missed that!
I wonder if we might see Jacob rested for Howson, should his injury not be too significant (have we had an update on that?). It leaves us short of width, admittedly.
Quite. And if he did, he wouldn't have been dropped from both team and sometimes match-day squad for the last month or so. AN may have his faults, but he ain't stoopid
And like I said. Jerome tapped in too. Get rid of him. Your Granny can cover 2 striker positions! Why did we ever fret about a striker! You should have said your Gran was a striker powerhouse! You are the reason we failed in the window for a striker!!
And why was he abandoned? £8.5 million for a return of 4/5 goals, sorry thats just not worth the money! If he gets himself into the first eleven and scores regularly then I'll give him the credit.
He also scored in the last game he played for us too, ok he slipped but they all count. But if people aren't whining about Naismith it will be someone else. Personally I'm glad he got a goal, I'd much rather see him playing and scoring than have another 8 million wasted.
