Just had a text from a mate who reckons we're looking to get him on loan from Leicester. Anyone else heard this?
Waghorn is one of the most popular players at the KP - On top of this Sven has always said he is part of our plans this season - That said his opportunities have been limited under Sven and Waghorn is definitely the sort of player that wants to play regular first team football. I hope it doesn't happen because Waghorn plays with passion but you never know - we'd definitely need to sign another striker first though
Danger, it's probably just one of those rumours that someone started somewhere and then it filters on and on. Last I heard was that Waghorn was surplus at Leicester so sounded like there could be some truth in it!
Wasn't Sven at Man city at the same time as KJ? If so they could still be on good terms so he might loan him out as a favour to an old mate of his?
Do you expect Millwall to play a pacy direct game this season - That is what we were playing under Pearson and Waghorn thrived under that style - It would do him some good to get game time and confidence back - Like I said Sven doesn't seem to rate him - Cracking attitude and a real grafter
Sven persuaded Kenny to take the job when JB came knocking the second time and Sven convinced him it would do his managerial CV no harm at all to turn around a struggling club.
And turn it around he has. We had a few players on loan from City when Sven was still there so maybe he will send Waghorn down if he won't use him. Plus with only 5 subs this year would be too good a player to kick heels in the reserves.
I remember Kenny saying before the home Leicester game last December how he was looking forward to catching up with Sven so it could be handy for us that he's still on good terms.
