Didn't even ****ing realise Librisa was running in that sprint <laugh>, nice to see Firmdecisions get his nose back in front tonight, juicy odds too. See what happens when you don't put ****ing Winston on it Ivory!!

Derby - I haven't had anything yet, i only got back from holiday yesterday and my cousins not back until tomorrow. I should get updates on Litigant and Librisa. Even then though, what's the update gunna be, they're going well at home? Big deal, i'd imagine everything in both of the races are, it's champions day not a handicap. Both owe me nothing so i'll be betting them regardless. Librisa is facing competition on a whole nother level so will be tough, and Litigants up against order of St george. But Litigants a grand old boy, and Librisa is on fire and technically didn't even get touched last time so should still have more scope to improve. Patterns both indicate them too.

As for my dream boat, i won't ever get info on it have no connections with anyone related to it, i bet on it purely for the name, quite cheesy but that's what my gf use to say to me ( your my dream boat ), and i bet on it once and it won so i said as much on here and it won at 33/1, and it then won the next 3 times i bet on it. Last time was the first time it lost when i'd bet on it, was still a great run though and it loves Ascot so has a chance regardless, and we will both be in attendance.

Either way as we've discussed all 3 are ****ing difficult races, handicap plots are easy to do and the info's usually reliable like the ebor or northumberland plate or the two librisa has won. This is the creme de la creme, and every horse will be primed and trying. So it's anyone's game, but i'm sticking with my 3 boys !!!

I think your being a bit generous to Ribchester in saying he should have won the Sussex. Galileo Gold cut out the pace that day and battled with The Gurka all the way up the straight and Ribchester could only pick them up towards the line. He had the race run to suit him and it somewhat flattered him but he couldn't get past either. He won fair and square in France but its fair to say Galileo Gold wasn't at his best that day. He did finish in the first two in four of the best mile races over here. After a break Galileo Gold will hopefully run to his best and should have Ribchester in his arse pocket. As for Minding its very hard to know what level she is at in comparison to these. It certainly is an intriguing race.

20/1 Midterm e/w in the Champion Stakes would interest me if I were betting (which I'm not). Had a nice break since the Niel (which he would have needed big time) and he is the only unexposed horse in the race.

Galileo Gold won the 2000 Guineas, a race where Ribchester finished behind him but not as far behind as the favourite Air Force Blue, who clearly has not trained on (amazed The Lads did not retire him in June).

Ribchester improved and won the Jersey Stakes whilst Hugo Palmer’s colt won the St James’s Palace but was subsequently beaten by runner-up The Gurkha.

Galileo Gold has continued to run the same race that he ran at HQ all season, whilst Ribchester has improved, beating the Guineas winner at Deauville after not being beaten very far at Goodwood. If Hugo Palmer is going to peddle excuses about his horses not being at their best (i.e. he is incapable of doing the job that the owner pays him to do) he will quickly become as credible as Listen O’Blarney.

I see no reason why Galileo Gold should reverse that form but it may turn out that, in receipt of the allowance, the other HQ Guineas winner may vanquish all the boys.

The Deauville race definitely muddles the formline and in my opinion is best ignored as a horse who had consistently run to a mark close to 120 before it didn't run anywhere near that. The Jersey Stakes form has worked out pretty poorly with the second and the thrid both struggling to land a blow in group 3s since. Lightning Spear, who is 10/1 for this, beat Thikriyaat with any amount in hand. Personally I believe the Sussex form is the most relevant between this two and I would definitely upgrade Galileo Golds performance in it as he had to deal with the Gurka for the lenght of the straight.

Minding could easily be a cut above these and could demolish these for the best trainer on the planet. Her run in the 1000 guineas was one of her most impressive wins so a mile should be fine for her. She had some good group 1 winners behind her in the Irish Champions.

SHAALA surely one of the bets of the day @ 6/1 massively overpriced and altho just come back from injury was a potential superstar this time last year and may still be his come back run was hard work but would have surely primed him for this and still unbeaten!

The big question is......has Litigant been trained with this race in mind or have they just had a devil of a time getting him straight again and this is the last chance saloon for this season?
Big question #2 is....how much will the Arc have taken out of Order Of St George? Tough to see him getting turned over if his Arc exploits haven't taken too much out of him.

I have a free bet in the race after Sweet Selections win last weekend and I am confused as ****!

He owes the forum nothing Chelsea but this does look a step up too far in my eye. I think everything else though has to hope the favourite turns up a little battle weary. Oisin Murphy and George Baker have been Litigants pilots since he has been with Tuite but they have taken up other options which I find slightly worrying.
Enough prevarication, best of luck to Litigant but my free bet is going on the ultra consistent SHEIKHZAYEDROAD.

Very nice stick, and a great reward for, as you said, a very consistent horse <applause>
