Does raise the interesting point of what will Puel do....we all know that Koeman would rather play a known first teamer (like Yoshida) out of position than risk/give a chance to a youngster. Puel seems more flexible.

Claret blog about Sunday's match. Suggests there will be scouts there to watch their centre back Keane...apparently valued at about 25 mill (at least in the rumour mill)....don't know as much about him as I should (because, for me, only one team matters). Apparently England has damaged their goalkeeper (tell us about ito_O) so he may be a doubt.

Keane looks a fantastic prospect from what I have seen (which is little).

Burnley are basically playing stifling football this season, then trying to hit on the counter. The kind of team we struggle against. So a lot comes down to whether we turn up! Definitely beatable.

Dont forget that won't be the case on Sunday without Gray playing. They tried it against Arsenal and just had no pace to execute any kind of counter attack.

I really can't see Burnley scoring Sunday unless it's from an error on our part, Vokes tries but can't do it all on his own. Having said that they got at arsenal and were in their faces the whole game and looked lively in central areas which impressed me. I just don't think they really have enough quality to hurt us. We'll have to turn up to beat these that goes without saying , but I'll be very dissapointed if we didn't get all 3 points at home.

Looks like McQueen could start as Target carrying a slight injury from international training.
Would rather keep Matt back for the Milan game and don't want to see other players played out of position.
I hope not. Much prefer Martina over an unproven, out of position youth player.

Not sure how how Boufal, redmond, Tadic and Austin can fit with regards to doing the hard graft chasing back etc, but I am looking forward to see them going forward

I am not a fan of playing players out of position and this weekend lends itself to giving McQueen the LB slot. It gives the academy a clear message that the youngsters will get an opportunity when one arises and gives another young man a chance to prove he is worth the shirt
At the end of the day we are playing Burnley not Man City so lets give him a chance

I agree for giving the youngsters a chance, however Burnley is a more winnable game than Man City so i don't agree with your reasoning.

From what i've seen of McQueen at LB this season, I would trust him to fill in there if needed. He played in that position with the first team throughout pre-season and we have to trust the young players at some point (he is 21 btw).

Puel was the decision maker on McQueen's new (old - he started there) position. McQueen was kept back from going on loan for precisely this (injury) reason. If he doesn't get a shout when there's an injury with left backs ahead of him then he'll be off out the club ASAP. The club can't have it both ways.

He has looked really good in that position, needs abit more experience of when to stay back and when to push on but left back is going to be his position and not a winger. Big strong and faster than Matt, i do not think Burnley have a winger that will cause him too many probs with Virgil keeping an eye

Either way you can be sure that Burnley will be targetting that side.

Is Cedric fit?
