Hey'up Ell, I agree Ell, we're playing better football with a better defence and midfield, but it's after the 2 week break which means anything can happen from both sides. We have lads coming back from international duty, jet lag can take a few days to get over plus, Dallas has a calf strain and he's been fairly strong up and down down left side. Derby are a wounded tiger coming good.....maybe, and depends if they can keep it up, like WID says, they'll come good at some point........
Theres a few great posts on Twitter regarding Chris Wood. From fans who saw him perform against the USA. He was apparently brilliant and one fans saw him a s a better striker than Zaza and the same age. He held the ball up well and battered their defence and it seems he was being used slightly better than Monk uses him?
I don't think he can play upfront on his own but if we are sticking to the formation then he has to I guess. We do need another target man.
Evening all from my favourite local. Think we need to be wary of Derby, they have spent big and it's clear that the players weren't putting it in for Pearson. They picked up once they got him sacked. Hopefully mclaren being back will unsettle them again as Powell seemed to steady them and got them a good couple of results.
