Coutinho has improved tremendously since he joined us, infact, most of our players improved under Klopp. I am not sure of Moreno !.
Erm...why are we discussing who we'd prefer out of Coutinho and Lallana? Surely if Lallana was fit we'd want both of them to be playing.
Yes I would agree currently. If i had a choice in the front 3 sturridge on current form would not get in so coutinho would play left side forward and lallana right midfield
Lallana on a bad day - runs around, works hard, wins possession. Coutinho on a bad day - anonymous for most parts but can still win the match with a moment of brilliance.
Coutinho features in another Brazil victory Philippe Coutinho played 83 minutes as Brazil continued their winning run with a 2-0 victory over Venezuela in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night. The Liverpool man again started for Tite's team as they moved top of the standings in the South American preliminaries with the result away from home. Gabriel Jesus put the Brazilians ahead in the first half with an impudent lob and their lead was later doubled by Willian shortly after the break. Coutinho was replaced by Giuliano for the final minutes, while fellow Anfield forward Roberto Firmino was an unused substitute http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/239148-coutinho-features-in-another-brazil-victory
The ref Taylor for your match on Mon lives 6 miles from old Trafford hehe, he will be impartial though !. When we (SAFC) play Newcastle we check the refs family history going back 300 years, and make sure he has no connections or any relative who might have lived/worked in Newcastle , or that could be dodgy.
please log in to view this image English football’s two genuine heavyweights will renew hostilities at Anfield next Monday night. For Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, the mission is clear. Having expertly masterminded Manchester United’s downfall when the arch rivals met in the last 16 of the Europa League last term, he must repeat the trick to break United’s recent stranglehold of this Premier League fixture. Since Liverpool secured an emphatic 3-0 win at Old Trafford in March 2014, the Reds have lost all four league showdowns with United. Another setback would be unprecedented. Neither club has ever won five successive league games against the other. The stakes are always high when these clubs meet but this is a rivalry which has taken on another dimension following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Louis van Gaal’s successor in May. The Portuguese coach's run-ins with the Kop over the past decade have been frequent and bitter. Now it’s not just Liverpool v Manchester United, it’s Klopp v Mourinho - two of the biggest personalities in the Premier League going head to head. Here’s how they match up. Previous meetings? Klopp has the edge having won three and drawn one of the five games he’s had against Mourinho. Four of them came in the 2012/13 season when Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund and Mourinho’s Real Madrid were drawn in the same Champions League group. Dortmund won 2-1 at home and drew 2-2 away to secure top spot and the clubs crossed paths again in a memorable semi-final tie. Robert Lewandowski plundered four goals as Dortmund raced into a 4-1 first leg lead at the Westfalenstadion. “Dortmund were stronger, more focused, and more aggressive,” bemoaned Mourinho http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/klopp-v-mourinho-how-liverpool-12011305 please log in to view this image Dortmund's head coach Juergen Klopp (R) shakes hands with Real Madrid's Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho prior to the UEFA Champions League semi final first leg football match between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-manchester-united-referee-taylor-9020081 The hand of Howard Webb.
The PGMOL told the BBC earlier this year that the process behind referee selection is all about avoiding “unnecessary extra external pressure and scrutiny on referees” in what is an “already a high pressure and demanding job”. So that's already a #fail then
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37629246 Former referee's chief Keith Hackett has criticised the appointment of Manchester-based Anthony Taylor as the man in the middle for Monday's meeting of Manchester United and Liverpool. Taylor lives six miles from Old Trafford, which Hackett believes could lead to allegations of partiality. "No-one is questioning his integrity," Hackett said. "But what if something goes wrong? It would be intolerable." Taylor has no United ties and supports National League North side Altrincham. Why lie #bbcsalford ? His wife is a Man Utd fan.
Hopefully Gerrard can get his referee badge for the return fixture. Maybe Gerrard can referee that match.
We wasn't allowed a ref from the wirral. So why is this allowed lol. Makes you laugh, they make up the rules to suit.
