Odd...as Cardiff are trying to reduce their wage bill, and Hoillet was on £40,000 with us, and JFH did make him an offer to stay.....but I asume he thought he could get near 40k/and or a prem club
I wonder what he is on at Cardiff!

New Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock today signed Junior Hoilett as he was a free agent, the highly rated Hoilett had been hoping a Premier League club would sign him,but jumped at the chance to sign for his ex manager Warnock.

In four years Junior Hoilett made an incredibly meagre 30 starts and 41 sub appearances for Queens Park Rangers, in which he pocketed close to £40,000-a-week on average – even given the checks on wages for promotion and demotion.
Hoilett has signed a contract with the Welsh club until the end of the season. He had been a free agent since deciding to leave QPR when his contract expired.

Junior Hoilett had told Rangers he did not want to stay at Loftus Road and was not interested in signing a new deal.

Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was keen to keep him and, with Hoilett having not secured the Premier League move he expected to, Rangers still held out some hope that he would return.

Hoilett played under Warnock at QPR during the Yorkshireman’s spell as interim boss prior to Hasselbaink’s appointment last season.

Be very interesting to known what Cardiff City are paying Hoilett till June 2017,as we are supposedly reducing our wage bill rapidly?

Breaking news, Colin also after free agent Bloody Luke Young and is hoping to convince Mandy Traore and SWP to join in January. And get Jay Boothroyd back from Papua New Guinea, or wherever he is playing.

And he adds #2 and #3 in Sol Bamba and Marouane Chamakh. Cracking signings!!!! :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Didn't Bamba start for Leeds against us in the opening game of the season? Says it all.

His signings in our promotion winning season didn't look inspiring either and we know what happened next...

We are in no position to pass judgement on other teams signings, having paid more money to more 5hit than just about any other club. Furthermore, on the rare occasion when we get a half decent player we have an innate ability to turn them into a turd with our midas touch and/or simply repeatedly play them out of position. I believe Junior could prove fantastic for Cardiff.

Says what? Colin will get these 3 playing at their best again while nobody else can? Something like that probably. Chamakh could be a great signing.

Comparing Sol Bamba to Clint Hill and Chamakh to Adel Taarabt? (That is tongue in cheek by the way :emoticon-0110-tongu)

It says that Leeds have already got rid of him after him playing their opening match against us, if he was worth keeping I guess they would.

Chamakh will not be a great signing, not in a million years. You can quote me on that come the end of the season.

That being said, Colin know a good signing, it worked at Rotherham last season. His collections of misfits did the biz and they escaped with something to spare.

All in all his signing philosophy resemble something like throw enough mud on the wall and see what sticks.

You don't need to convince me though, I'm one of Warnocks biggest fans, great character and one of the best managers we've had in my lifetime.
