Off topic threads tend to be light hearted and humerous. No one is going to get wound up or stop posting because Chazz prefers a Madras to a Korma. Having the far right and far left spouting off about how they're right and everyone else is wrong probably will. IMO. Politics out.
Football forum with a few interesting off topic posts. Please no politics the idiot politicians get enough exposure without us helping.
It's interesting the simpletons who can't rationalise the difference between an off topic thread, and ones specifically about, or including politics and religion. Exactly why those 2 subjects need to stay banned on here.
I like this forum exactly the way it is...somewhere where functioning alcoholics can discuss food and drink with an occasional football related discussion thrown in
If we ever need to do a bit of marketing to promote this board that is the slogan right there Excellent.
There are certain things I like and dislike. Sometimes, I tolerate things I don't like because other people like them.
Hull MEP interviewed about his altercation with Woolfe on Newsnight. Basically 'I'm from 'Ull if you get invited outside and you don't go, you're a bit of a wimp... I'm 63, but....'
As a visitor from another board I would just like to make an observation. This board is the most active I have been on, I don't know why this should be but, will point out it's the only one I visit with a no politics/religion policy. It is easy and common to laugh off other peoples views on football, conspiracy's , curry's etc and nobody takes it too much to heart. We all come on here for different reasons, some for discussion where it can be had, some for a laugh or to wum lightly (I do both on lots of boards), politics and religion tend to get personal. In my outsider view, if it aint broke don't try to fix it. I love reading and contributing (occasionally) to this board, it would be a shame if it went the way of some others because of personal fall outs. Edit..........that said, if you decided to have a vote I would never think of voting because I am only a visitor
i agree football views, random **** about currys etc are all just laughs. politics just gets personal and there is no need for it just look at the sunderland board on here.. its just a cesspit. we don't need to discuss politics here. this forum is very active, let's keep it that way without involving such ****
We are all simply visitors here. No one owns the forum. Well Mick does, but you know what I mean. The politics and religion the vocal few wish to discuss, they could, on the general forum. No idea why that's so hard for them to understand.
