Sunderland have had a bid for Shaun wright Phillips accepted by Manchester city, just seen it on sky sports news, city have also accepted a bid for the winger from Bolton, Bruce said in an interview that he and wright Phillips are in talks and sunderland are favourites to capture the England international.

Would not think so Sid, the french lad who has not kicked a ball in anger since november is obviously a much better shout. Funny thing is all their new signings seem to be "canny squad player", not sure if much of their 1st 11 from last season are still there but at least they have a good squad.

    Silly ****s.

Sorry but I'm not really impressed with SWP - he doesn't seem to have a final product; he is fast but if he doesn't get a decent ball in what's the point?

Not many quick wingers with good end product that will come to sunderland is there? Would of liked Bruce to go after a left winger though, and I hope he isn't Bruce's solution for our LW problem. He can be very good, I said earlier that we should give him a one year contract so he can prove himself after spending a year on City's fringe.

We can't give a one year contract with a fee involved or we'd be in a no win, does **** lose fee, does well, walks.

He's better than ****ing Obertan, the footballer who doesn't realize the ball has to stay inside the white lines, i'd actually vomit if we signed Obertan!

Obertan? a man u reserve team player? a man u reject? ****e player(s)? (going to be lot of fun using the mags own comments on our man u signings back at them, but since he's signed for the mags he's got to be world class though.)

BTW I voted ecstatic in your poll, cos I am ecstatic about your new signing. Long may Stan and Ollie hold the ownership of Skunkcastle, looking forward to you signing a player that doesn't smell of garlic, onions and cheese.

    SWP or obertan.........................................

You tell me who'd you'd prefer to see in a black n white shirt?

Would you rather be making a serious effort to sign SWP or obertan (and not jut a public relation exercise in making stupid bids/offers for players to placate the fans who are not happy at minimal levels of investment, but serious steps to sign players)

That my friend is the difference between our two sides at the minute. We are looking forward to the start of the season, as a club we've taken a step forward, you ****ers are bricking it cos you reckon you'll struggle with who you've lost and the players you have coming in.

Couldn't be bothered with either to be honest, but I'd just like to point out you havn't actually signed SWP yet and the fact that he's almost 30 and will have no re-sale value and be on much higher wages than Obertan puts me off big time. That and the fact he's been pants for years.

It's not a "step forward" kind of signing.

Thats true, we haven't signed him yet, but you have got obertan in the bag.

You happy with the way the transfer window is panning out for you and who you've brought in or do you reckon it's going to be a tough season?
