If this continues I can see the Old Bill ( or West Ham) stopping away fans from attending West Ham matches. Luton did that after Millwall ran riot in the 80s.
It is tame stuff compared to not long ago and away fans weren't stopped from attending then. And they won't be now.
There has been trouble at every West Ham home game this season. Enjoy the game, I hope you get away safe and sound
There used to trouble at every ground every game years ago. CiyyMan, and others, weren't put off going then and won't be now. Neither will the vast majority. Far safer than it used to be.
My main worry is the ****s at Sky will switch the kick off to the Sunday RL seems far worse for crowd trouble these days
I hope for all those travelling that Sky does not affect your plans. Sadly, the trouble at HKR was always going to happen. THe winners were always going to celebrate on the pitch and the losers would react.
What a shame the hopeless stewards and incompetent police let it all unfold while wringing their hands from a distance. Still I suppose the police will get some convictions through cctv footage and then trumpet their 'We will not tolerate it' speech and the unsuspecting public will be reassured we have such vigilant and efficient police,
http://kumb.com/article.php?id=3818 Seems to be far more chaotic than anyone could ever have imagined. Usual London bollox. The forthcoming CFC Lg Cup game should be eventful.
Hes a thick bastard who cant even pronounce words correct. Why we have to put up with him is a mystery to me.
Plenty of East End aggro around Upton Park 80 years ago today, Battle of Cable Street was on the 4th October 1936 in the East End and Stepney Communist Party held a victory march down Whitechapel Road after thinking they had stopped Mosley, according to their Secretary Joe Jacobs the reds “braced themselves as they got to Green Street because they were entering the enemy’s stronghold, the pavements were lined with Blackshirts and their supporters who pelted them with rotten fruit and flour.”
As I've frequently mentioned on here my in laws are season ticket holders for West ham and have been for many years .. they have said that a lot of the old crew have come back because it's so easy to get at the away fans. Apparently you can literally walk round the concourse of the stadium and get to any part of the ground you want without being challenged most of the time .. apparently the stewards are stadium employed and not the old guard who knew all the daft lads and would be able to intercept them . The police won't enter because the comms and signals are none existent in the ground so generally it's a disaster waiting to happen .. even they are shocked by how bad the control.measures are.
Sounds like they all then linked arms together, twanging their braces and bawled out 'Maybe it's because I'm a Lahndahner' in their pearly suits. Incidentally, what was the last time a visiting London club sung that? Used to every time back in the 70s
