That could well happen but most of those players will have been with us for five years plus which is quite rarity in premier league football these days and very rare at Southampton.....

Surely I don't need to explain to you that being Champions and in the CL makes it a lot easier to keep your players? Though your best player still couldn't wait to get out...

 

Mixed feelings about Kante..... I think he was daft to move to Chelsea when he did as massive a move it was for him, for once Chelsea weren't in Europe so he could have stayed a further season, improved still further and got an even bigger move ?
I actually think Southampton would have had a really top prem team had they have managed to hang on to the abundance of talent within their ranks and if I was a fan I'd be totally pissed off with the hierarchy for letting world class talent go year in year out both on and off the field !

I can see Mahrez going in January. Silly ****er messed around and lost a massive bumper deal in the summer, now his form has dipped.

Vardy is just ****e and extremely daft. He held Leicester to ransom (but the fans love him!!) and then stayed, when he had a chance to play for Arsenal

The rest of the team meh. Kante was the glue, they've fallen apart now he's gone.

... Kante got my vote for player of the season ... but Mahrez got the players player award and Vardy the football writers ,,,, and they stayed. As has also become evident, Kante is far less effective in a team where his team mates aren't also prepared to put in one hell pf a shift at closing down etc

... the current crop are now all signed on long teram contracts and on six figure wages ... that's about as secure as any team's players can get outside of the top Spanish clubs, City, United, Arsenal and Chelsea ... so as relaxed as I can be about our future, short term and long ...

 

It is strange to see the severe dip in Leicesters' PL form when the only
ostensible difference is Kante leaving.
