I gave Hull kudos on their board tbh, very even game. But yeah, Fryatt was not good tonight, reminded me of when he used to frustrate the crap out of us!
Typical Fryatt though isn't it! Takes him 30 chances to score, always has done. Yet the Hull fans thought it was a bad move for us to ditch him. Hoofbs looked shaky too, I basically got banned for saying they we're ****e
i was gunna say, if you wern't banned, we wouldn't see you here for dust Hobbs looked non-exsistant tbh, not a bad game, just not gettin stuck in and read the game well. Blackpools defence was terrible tho, so many thru balls for Fryatt to miss his 1-on-1's

I’ve said many times before that Hobbs will never be a top class centre back, he is to nice, doesn’t command his space, he’s like a cat on a hot tin roof with the ball at his feet, gets skinned to easy, needs a big strong commanding type beside him. Fryatt is average at best. We certainly won’t miss either of them. Both did a good job in Lge 1 though. Maybe they will get another chance to shine next season!
I am an admirer of Fryatt, and he probably had his worst game in a Hull City shirt yet. He should of buried it twice tonight, and tbf he never did that last season. Well, was he really gonna score with Dele Adebola next to him! I hope Simpson is fit enough to start against Ipswich. BTW, I came on here because I expected abuse and jokes about Fryatt...
You'll always get jokes for Fryatt on here, the guys a liability unless you can offer him 10+ stone wall chance in a game.
What Hull are about to discover is just how much a confidence player Fryatt is - This is just the sort of event that sends him into one of his droughts and it takes one hell of an event to shake him out of it. Their only hope is Pearson knows this and knows how to manage him

Many of us have long said that Fryatt is a Jekyll and Hyde type of player and that, last season, Hull only got to see the Jekyll. Tonight you've seen the Hyde and don't be so sure that it was a one-off. When he gets on a goal-scoring run and he's confident and the momentum's with him he's fantastic, but when the goals dry up it all tends to go wrong big style. You'll soon start to understand our frustration with him when he was here!
Aye, this is true. When he's on a roll he's a good finisher, he'll go on a run scoring non-stop. Other times he'll fall into a slump and won't come out of it for months sometimes. He's a good player but not a natural goalscorer at all. But Oh dear how boring was that game in the second half.
Watching that game, I'd say neither side really worried me. Yes it's early but Blackpool's defence was virtually non-existent and we shouldn't have trouble creating chances against them and Hull's defence as well looked suspect which I was surprised at being a Nigel Pearson team (their left back was especially poor). Yet more evidence that Hobbs needs an experienced head beside him rather than another young lad like Chester. Surprised at the low quality on show for two teams who were expected to push for play-offs.
Hull fans believe me here about Adebola. Though he isnt the best player, what you will get from fryatt from playing next to a big targetman is a huge HUGE improvement. Steve howard isnt the greatest striker in the world, but was one of the first names on our teamsheet due to how well fryatt played off him. And leics fans... why have you turned on hobbs!? I rate him and hope he has a great career!
