I suspect the Allam's continuing to play one off against the other game may have put them all off .. we can only hope that one of the parties thinks fk it and goes all out to get us
Think the Allams have royally ****ed them all off and we are going to be ruled over by muppets 1&2 till hell freezes over. Time for the protests to start again reminding them that they are NOT wanted here. ALLAMS OUT
Woah. They haven't been in touch and given you all the up to date gen on what's going on? How dare they treat you like that. It's an outrage.
Why do the protests keep stopping anyway? A few bargain basement signings and it all goes quiet. Our fanbase is pathetic.
I think people get tired of protesting. The signings haven't stopped people, it stopped after the first game. I suspect the main reason for that is that whilst people want to make their point, they don't want to do it week after week.
The last two home matches we have had one minute applause for people close to the club who recently died. Not really appropriate to then have protests against the owner after that you plonker.
I personally think that with the season starting, people have got bigger things to worry about, and they are distracted by whats happening on the pitch................................. who said football fans were fickle?
You are entitled to an opinion but I've noticed everyone who disagree with your opinion get supercillous replys to their post so don't come the high and mighty with me.
Careful, you'll get insulted with some homophobic type abuse too if you're not careful. Difficult to swallow I know.
We've now reached a stage where we can't get close to selling out Premier League games against Arsenal & Chelsea, Bruce leaves 10 weeks ago and we still don't have a manager, the Allams have systematically destroyed this club yet all it takes is some fantasy takeover stories to kill the protests stone dead. It's remarkable While I agree it wouldn't be appropriate to protest at those 2 games let's not pretend like there was anything planned before those sad announcements. What excuse are you using for the Man U game which also passed off without a murmur of discontent? Of course we won the previous 2 games before that so the 'it's his club he can do what he wants' mentality was prevalent amongst our fickle fans. A win or two on the pitch or a new no mark signing and you're all willing to roll over and let the venomous old bastard tread you into the dirt.
The club is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay I guess .. but £125-130m seems a bit rich for a club that will be facing a relegation battle and doesn't own it's own stadium.. but as always TWT. What happened to AP's consortium with the mega rich backer ? Anyone know if they have continued dialogue or if they have walked at the asking price.
£130m must surely include the price of the stadium. Has anyone had contact with the council about this? The asset of community value listing is relevant here.
