Derry City have accepted a bid from English Premier League side Sunderland for highly-rated winger James McClean. The 22-year-old will travel to Sunderland on Monday for a medical. McClean has been a target for a number of English clubs this summer, with Peterborough United making two offers for the player. His impressive form has resulted in a first call-up to the Northern Ireland squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against the Faroe Islands.
left or right wing? knowing SB and who we've been linked with in the last few days my moneys on right wing. One for the future certainly.
At 22 I doubt he is one for the future. One of me other pals from the Into-the-light forum has done a little research and has been told he is the following: "He's a left winger, has alot to learn but his rise to fame in Ireland had been phenomenal! Very strong pacy winger who has a sweet sweet left peg on him. If he keeps progressing at the current rate I'd have no doubt he can make it". from a Derry city fan
According to BBC website were about to sign this guy says he's a winger but don't know which side, anybody no anything about him. And thoughts please meant to be well thought off.
Didn't realise this thread had been started so started another one. So ****ing happy we've signed someone for the left.
This calls for further quantities of Stella Artois (we have to keep the Belgian economy going you know). Any bets that Bruce made a mistake
all left foot, apparantly wigan wanted him to replace nzogbia, he's also had offers from everton, west ham and blackpool
costing us €400k with add on's worth the risk, obv. will be a squad player hopefully he turns out to be a Meyler rather than a Roy O'Donnovan, we can afford to take a risk with this lmao hopefully he aint the last signing that comes in.
Is this as good as it sounds? If Everton wanted him, then Moyles must be impressed and he's a heck of a manager.
Wow.. I mean WOW. I might know ****-all about him but it's nevertheless brought a huge smile to my face. Pizza night will require a couple of extra bottles of Moosehead in celebration.
Let's hope he is better than Kilbane, Reid and Murphy. We really ain't had much luck with our irish winger's.
In all honesty mate I trust Bruce's signing's. If he reckon's he is good enough to make our 25 I'm in.
Get in, just the kind of brucie bonus signing I like, never heard of him, mags bound to take the piss, will turn out a brilliant player and **** all over any of their french nancy boys
