Thought Sturridge was poor on the ball and there were times when the players didn't spot his runs.

But wouldn't say he's lazy - he will never be a Suarez, Firmino or Lallana type because a) it's not his game and b) he's not physically capable of playing that way. That doesn't mean he's lazy. He's constantly making runs and getting into good positions. But I do fear that he may not be best suited for Klopp.

 

The problem with henderson as the deepest mid, is that if we are pressed, he immediately starts passing the ball backwards, He tends to start looking nervous and this spreads through the team, he is supposed to be the fulcrum of the side.

His control, passing and speed of thought are not good enough in tight spaces, if a player presses him he always turns and passes it to the keeper who has little option but to smash it up field, which then leads to another free for all, rather than the controlled game we are trying to play.

Ill be honest i dont think can is good enough or is the type of player we want in this position either.

I think we are looking for an alonso rather than a masherano in this system.

He is a player we have never come close to replacing, i carnt believe he went because of the debacle with gareth barry.

Always more likely to get one when you're attacking in last 10 mins and constantly in their box, wouldn't expect everton fan to understand that one

 

Have to say, at 1-1 I was always expecting us to get another.
However, I wasn't convinced we wouldn't concede another as well, I didn't have too much confidence in the defence.

I think the pen was a pen and swansea fans will feel sick it came from a bad clearance. None if the other shouts had any merit whatsoever.

The reality is what klopp said himself. We were lucky after first half to be eben in the game. We got a bit of luck on equaliser. Did miss a few once the twam actually started to play but then got lucky.

I would have to say while grateful for 3 points looking back we just picked their pockets and disnt deserve anything. I will take it but it was very poor showing that klopp has two weeks to pick through cos i can tell you think mourinho will be looking at what was done.

Press on henderson, crosses are karius nightmare... double mark couts.

They just fast pressed and we could not cope. But then again our own so called press game yestersay was just a show effort. There was no bite to it.

Hardly picked their pockets. They had couple chances first half when we were poor and took once. We dominated 2nd half and scored 2 chances while missing couple others.

 

Lucky equaliser?.................how so?

 

They missed two other real chances! 2-0 ht and it was over.

It s only when both of their cms were on yellows that we got a foothold... and firminos goal cane from a ball breaking off their wall...

 

However I will add i think our superior fitness told in that second half.

I just think they faded and had all 3 subs on after 68mins? So thats down to good preparation from us in fairness.

 

If that penalty had been awarded at the other end you would all be crying foul play, and rightly so. The penalty seemed to be awarded for our two defenders messing up a clearance. The ref saw an opportunity and took it.

 

I look forward to watching ibra trying to press like that! Although you know they'll be croasing at every opportunity. Should make for an intriguing game

Nah... it was a bad clearance but your guy blocked the attempt at shot illegally.

If any other shout made had been given you might have a case but not that one.

Same as your goal was a good call on offside and you even got away with a clear stamp on mane the linsman missed. Its swings and roundabouts and the ref got it right.

Your lot were good but missed a few chances and it cost you. Your tactics were spot on but you ran out of steam and coughed it up.

Bad luck.

You can take a lot from it though.. i think that fella up top is decent so you will be ok
