What a day. What an atmosphere and what a win! Don't get to many away games but that was a cracker!
We all wondered if the lads would play for Jimmy. Well they ran and scored and defended for him for a magnificent away win beating Fulham at CC for the first time since 1980!
I suspect Jimmy is going nowhere.

Hasselbaink: I felt like I was fighting everybody

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said he felt like he had been “fighting everybody” after QPR won a dramatic west London derby at Fulham.

Idrissa Sylla scored the winner as Rangers beat the Whites 2-1 – the club’s first victory at Craven Cottage since 1980.

It was a timely boost for Hasselbaink following allegations in the Daily Telegraph that he asked for £55,000 to work for a company looking to sell players to QPR.

And the victory came despite Rangers having two penalties awarded against them – Alex Smithies saved Tom Cairney’s early spot-kick and Sone Aluko fired a penalty against the post in the final seconds.

The first penalty came after Steven Caulker had impeded Fulham defender Ragnar Sigurdsson as they geared up for Lucas Piazon’s corner. The second was given for a high challenge by Nedum Onuoha on Jozabed.

Those decisions prompted Hasselbaink to say: “I had the feeling in that game at certain times I was fighting everybody; journalists, supporters, public and referee.

Rangers’ win was their first in seven league matches

“I’ve not seen the first penalty but it depends on which referee you get. Some give them and some don’t.

“If Steven Caulker has held him then it’s a penalty – but it should always be a penalty, and that is not the case.

“The second penalty was ridiculous. My player never touched him. That’s why I am saying I felt like I was fighting everybody.”

The Dutchman added: “It’s a special day for the supporters because it’s a long time since QPR won here.

“I’m very happy. We won, got three points and we must now take this forward.”

QPR say they are conducting an internal investigation into the allegations surrounding Hasselbaink, which they say they cannot conclude until theTelegraph provide unedited video and a transcript of a meeting he held with an undercover reporter.

“It’s very simple. My lawyers have asked for a transcript and at this moment the newspaper have not given it,” Hasselbaink said.

“I want to help QPR with their investigation and to be very transparent.

“It’s been a very difficult couple of days – very difficult. But I must say the support I’ve had from the club, family and friends has been immense.”

Sylla's done that before hasn't he? Come in late and score?

While this was an improved performance in some respects, Fulham really should have had at least four goals.

I'll enjoy it and had a great day but it really only papers over the cracks. Apart from 10-15 minutes before the second goal, it was quite poor from us IMO.

    QPR owner Tony Fernandes
Tony Fernandes produced a public show of support for under-fire QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The Dutchman is the subject of an internal investigation after being involved in a Telegraph sting.

Rangers have put the investigation on hold until they have received the full video and transcript and have backed their man.

Fernandes wrote on Instagram: “Could not be happier for this man. A decent man who works his socks off for QPR.

“Loyalty is a strange word in football but we are family and we are QPR and we stand by our family.

“Thank you to the amazing fans. You deserve this. Your voice at craven cottage was somehow else. Enjoy the moment. First win at craven (Cottage) since 1979. Enjoy the moment. Lots of love. Tony”

Hasselbaink has denied any wrongdoing and QPR have urged the Telegraph to hand over the full information before deciding the Dutchman's fate.

A club statement on Friday read: “QPR can confirm that we are currently unable to proceed any further with the club's internal investigation at this stage, as The Telegraph are yet to provide full and complete unconditional disclosure of all the information it has, despite a number of requests from both the club and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's legal team.

“We urge The Telegraph to provide full disclosure of all its information relating to the allegations, including video footage and a full transcript of the discussions that took place.

“The club believes this information should not be provided selectively, but unedited and unconditionally, in order for the club to view the full context and the sequence of what was said by all parties to include in its investigation.

“Once again, we appreciate the QPR fans want this issue dealt with as quickly as possible, which is why we request full cooperation from The Telegraph in providing us with the aforementioned footage and transcript."

I should have placed a bet on that, especially since I predicted it as a birthday present for Col.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink pays tribute to QPR fans after derby win ...

    • QPR record 2-1 derby win against Fulham
    • Victory the R's first win at Craven Cottage in 36-years
    • Goals from Conor Washington and Idrissa Sylla hand Rangers three points
JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink paid tribute to the travelling QPR fans who cheered the team to all three points at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

Idrissa Sylla scored a late winner after Conor Washington’s first-half strike was cancelled out by Tim Ream.

The R’s also saw Fulham miss two penalties, with the second spot-kick being awarded in the 95th minute. Sone Aluko’s effort from 12 yards cannoned off the upright, to the delight of the QPR players and supporters.

“I have to give credit to my players, for their effort and commitment today,” Hasselbaink said towww.qpr.co.uk. “They were very good.

“The fans were magnificent. There were a lot of them and it helps the boys, it really does. The fans were immense and I thank them.

“It was a very eventful game, it was two teams who were looking to go forward.

“We knew that their front players would be very dangerous. We had to be brave and play on the front foot, and at times our defenders had to defend.

“They had a few chances but I must say we created a few chances as well.”

Fulham were awarded their first penalty in the fifth minute when Steven Caulker was adjudged to have been holding in the area.

“I don’t know about the first penalty, I haven’t seen it yet, but the second one, for me, is not a penalty,” Hasselbaink said.

“With the first one, certain referees give it and certain referees don’t give it. We know the rule, and I am fine with it. But everyone has to apply it in the same way.”

After Sylla had put Rangers in front with three minutes remaining, QPR hearts sank when referee Lee Mason pointed to the spot in the fifth minute of injury time when Nedum Onuoha was penalised for an apparent foul.

“The second one, I am in the line of what has happened, and he does not touch him,” Hasselbaink said.

“The player thinks he is going to be touched and goes down, but Nedum doesn’t touch him, he doesn’t make contact.

    “That is the problem.

“We knew it was going to be a passionate game. Two local rivals playing each other always makes it a bit more special.

“It was a brilliant game for the neutral. A lot of things happened, a lot of bad things too – from all three parties. But that happens.

“I am happy to come away with all three points.”

The victory brings a positive end to what has been a hard week for Hasselbaink following allegations made in a national newspaper.

“It has been a very difficult few days,” he admitted.

“My lawyers are waiting for the transcript because we want to help QPR resolve this problem. We still haven’t received it, so I cannot say more than this.”

Don't care about all the background crap going on that was entertainment, 3 points and a bloody fun win! Tonight is going to be a long happy night!
