Anyones death is tragic (but unavoidable) but this minutes applaues is tenuous at best. He has no direct link to the club and this smacks of over sentimentality or a deliberate attempt to divert focus from other matters. Can anyone recall us or any other club doing this for the son of an ex manager that left over forty years ago? I am not being disrespectful but people die every week with connections as valid as these to the club.
It wasnt irony. Like lover he is obsessed by all things glory and the slip was freudian. Its a form of flattery to be this memorable.
With you on this one. Complete puzzlement to me. Closest he got to us was his name being bandied about as part of a TOMA consortium. But if it's stopped a civil war, albeit temporarily, I'm happy for it to go ahead. Not sure why the TTGM mob are pulling out, though - probably just shiiting themselves. Can't think of any other reason.
