Think they switched to 3 at the back when getting dicked last week. We'll make them switch again.

Get in their faces, especially Costa's, wind him up, he'll react & the ugly **** will walk.

Hit them hard, they're soft as ****. Mbokani's farts should be enough to knock Side Show Bob onto his arse every time he touches the ball.

Points taken off any team, anywhere, any which way, are all worth the same.

Set up properly, with some ambition and we've got a good chance.


We got our tactics completely wrong in the last two games. Granted, the sendings off didn't help but we essentially lost both games prior to that point anyhow. That needs addressing and this is a big test of Phelan's ability.

Key at the moment is service to Hernandez. He's gash at the role he's been asked to play. If we continue in the same vein he needs benching.




Chelsea are vulnerable even though they are one of the big seven. This is definitely a game that we should target points from if we are to progress in our mini-league and out-point our place rivals. I guess we have a free hit today. Here's hoping that we can make the most of the opportunity we've been given.

the only thing that pisses me off with the way we play under MP is that we back off when they have the ball, and open up.
we did that under SB too. At least Phelan has sorted the passing out tho.

 

John obviously is playing Marshall (or the Jak) as a keeper-sweeper/centre-half

 

We need to be closing them down on the edge of the box, Hazard'll do us if he gets space. Also need someone to rattle Costa, who can forget Bruce Jnr dumping him on his arse season before last?

Costa won't be able to outmuscle Harry. Which is why he should start at CB.

 

Agree, no real issues with either keeper choice, my issue is Diomande, shouldn't be anywhere near team, not shown enough, not physical enough.

We need to be at it from the off, best form of defence is attack, I know that we can't match them skill wise man to man, but we need to get at them higher up the pitch, not backing off and off, letting them come to our half unopposed.

If the players need any extra incentive to fight for a result, do it for Megan. Show the determination, courage and attitude that she had. Get amongst them, particularly that ugly Costa! #oneofourown.

We need to play 2 up top whatever happens. Mbokani and Hernandez for me. Big 'Arry to do a number on Costa. Jobs a gud 'un. 2-1 City.

 

The key points are:

1. Phelan Out is actually illogical are he isn't even 'in' yet

2. Whoever marks Costa should not spill the coffee - i;e. don't get sent off, i.e. somebody who won't headbut Costa, which probably leaves Clucas

3. Hernandez is fine starting up front on his own.. until the whistle sounds

4. Snodgrass is our version of Hazard and he's playing better so should get into their team (hopefully he won't as WE need him)

5. One of our best results against Chelsea in recent years was a 0-0
