Does anyone live in or around York? The wine company is on Fossgate this Saturday. We had our best ever day last Saturday at the same spot so i've decided to do it again. Everything i took was open to try and we just had a brilliant day so we'll replicate that with some different types of wine. If you fancy trying the best of my portfolio of wines which are usually worth between £10 and £30 a bottle then come over. Password for not606er's is 11TH RICHEST MAN IN WALES. I like to walk people through the entire range to get an idea of the different styles and flavours from around the world. You'll probably be a little light headed and a lot merrier as you walk away.
Good luck with your enterprise Bob maybe you could hit the round south sometime, ascot has a beer and wine festival.
Morning, all. Hope everyone well. And also that everyone’s moles, insiders and informants are all too. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more… There’s a rumour going around the periphery right now that the coalface has got battered cod and chipped potatoes for lunch. I’ve everything crossed and a junior grade has been dispatched to make further enquiries. Nothing for me today but the Ascot Executive must be delighted with the turn out for that Listed heat this afternoon. Completely corking contest, methinks. Good luck to those punting today.
Looks a good heat alright but is almost rivalled by the last at Gowran...superb listed Bumper for this time of year.
I quite fancy the Logsdon runner, Snow Leopardess, in said listed bumper. Beat Rather Be on debut and that one then ran reasonably well in the Champion Bumper. Snow Leopardess skipped Cheltenham but took in the Aintree Mares bumper and ran very well in fifth. The form of that race looks rock solid. 5/1 looks fair in a heat where you simply have to take on the favourite at the prices.
Few quid for your fancy Bob. The favourite also being well supported after winning nicely at Galway on debut...as short as 5/4 in places. She's obviously well regarded but that isn't much value imo for one so inexperienced in a big field with a bit of depth.
Exactly Dex. Unless you know its a machine you can't be betting 5/4 in this field and to be perfectly honest i doubt whether Mullins best mare would be running in this heat.
Think i'll be having an each way on Daisy's Gift in the 3.50 at Gowran Park to double up last years win. 7/1 is a fair price. Beat a horse I rated highly in Whiteout in this heat last season giving weight away. You've got to forgive some naff runs over fences but this will have been the target since last years victory and now fully primed, i like the idea of her having a big shout of overturning the prohibitively priced favourite from the same stable, Airlie Beach.
Battered cod and chipped potatoes. 10/10. The toast afterwards was, ‘Mrs May, Her Majesty and the taxpayers’. Yes, that Listed heat is a strong ‘un. And some lovely names for fillies and mares contained within as well. If I was picking based on who had the loveliest name (and come on it’s what we all do really. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more…) I’d side for QUEEN DEIDRE. Never heard of her trainer but she hits another ‘plus’ in that it’s also a pick based on the forum’s favourite system.
It does look a straight shootout between Mullins and Elliot. The Longsdon/McLoughlin runners can fill tricast purposes.
Asc 4.55 Life Less Ordinary must have a decent chance here. 13/2 avail at present. I'm on win/bigger place at bfsp.
Josephine Gordon is a beast. Out battled Moore on the Haggas 2nd string. Great ride. Matt Chapman said the other day you would not know if it was a woman or man aboard with her. It was a compliment for those who may be sensitive.
