For me it's got to be Jak. Much more assured, got down better, and much much better distribution. Marshall did not show anything to give me any confidence in his ability last week. But that's just my opinion.

Marshall will play though. MP didn't sign him, regardless of the fee, to be number 2 to the Jak. In fact, MP didn't sign him to be number 2 to McGregor either.

The only reason I'd stick Snodge at RWB is to have a player who can play on the right actually playing on the right, having 3 CB's is the real positive for me. Also 2 up front.
For me it gives plenty in defence & attack!

To be honest, I thought signing Marshall was pretty pointless. He's a good keeper and I like him but I think we've overdone it with keepers and it wasn't necessary when that money could have gone elsewhere. Signing Kuciak at the time was also pretty pointless as he never played ahead of McGregor or Jakupovic and now he's third choice, fourth when McGregor returns. We would have been fine with Jakupovic first choice, Kuciak second and Mannion third until McGregor returned.

I know it's good to have strength in depth but signing players just for the fun of it can be damaging. Ben Arfa is a good example of that.

I've already given my opinion on this, but anyone who wants Marshall in goal needn't worry. Marshall will play just because we paid £5m for him.

Jaks the better keeps but we can't be seen to be spending that kind of money and then not playing him.

No keeper is perfect, but Jak has been pretty outstanding. No way did he deserve to be dropped. Marshall should have been made to wait for his PL chance.

He was made to wait until Jak threw an absolute howler. Didn't take long.

You can have your regulation 4-0! I had a dream/vision!
Costa booked for diving & straight red for elbowing Jake, Kante sent off for reckless tackle on Clucas!
Robbo scoring in under a minute, Abel H the second, Mason with a Xhaka goal from the same spot & Bob with no 4! Identical to Abel's goal but in reverse!

    We'll see.

Although going by posts on here, the next goal we concede will be an absolute howler from Marshall however it comes, and Jak will absolutely have to come back in to save our season.

And you'll just shrug your shoulders and say it was unsaveable.

Probably, because with Marshall it probably will be. I seriously doubt he'll come flying out to punch a cross straight to an opposition player inside the penalty area to score.

He's rubbish at left back, never mind right back and he's been outstanding in his current role, why the hell would you want him anywhere else?

There you go, you've made your mind up a goal was unsaveable before it's even happened.

It's just for one game and I don't fancy anyone else there.point taken about how well he's playing where he is.but Liverpool exploited our right hand side even when Elmo was on the pitch.elmo and snodgrass were arguing constantly for the first twenty minutes.

If we're sticking with four at the back, then either Meyler will be at right back, or Harry will come into the middle and Jake will be moved to right back. If we go three at the back, then we could maybe get away with Weir as a right wing back, but it would be very risky (and therefore unlikely).

The Jak has made far too many catastrophic blunders in the past for me to never have complete confidence in him again.

There's always that aura of foreboding surrounding him.

Jak is an ace shot stopper but needs to learn to catch the ball more and parry less!
