Well said, though the quality of opposition has to be called in to question based on those results and performances
Chuffed Jacob scored again. He's flying! I really, really want to see both brother signing a contract very soon.
I'm not arguing everything is perfect, but I'd rather we had the points on the board with room to improve, than falling back towards mid-table. The players gain confidence, and it gives Neil some room to manoeuvre, his changes aren't going to be subject to quite the same scrutiny. A healthy atmosphere at Carrow Road is welcome too.
OK, I've quickly read through the previous comments and sit in the N&P, so didn't see the scramble for their goal. Apart from their goal, I thought we played well and I can see us picking up at least 1 point from our next 2 games, maybe more. We could easily have won 5-1 and I was REALLY pleased to see the same starting 11 as last week. Whatever the result at Villa Park, we'll be top of the League till Tuesday at least. Chill guys!!!! Edit - I'm £7 up at the Bookies
We have yet to play Huddersfield home and away, Brighton home and away, Reading home and away, Birmingham home, Newcastle home and away (all top 6) Barnsley home and away, Wolves home and away, Brentford home and away (7 to 9). The biggest challenges are yet to come. We have beaten (just) Cardiff 21st, Wigan 24th and Blackburn 20th. Burton are 17th.
We can only beat who we're up against and whilst there's room for improvement, today's game was a MASSIVE improvement on our last 2 home games. <glasshalffullemoticon>
We've yet to gel and hit a streak of good form yet here we are, where we want to be, without getting out of third gear yet. There are no easy games in this division, every team is capable of beating the other and whereas we haven't played the "top" teams yet, they haven't played us either and I doubt If they are looking forward to that.
if somebody missed the game http://eachgoal.com/2016/09/norwich-city-vs-burton-albion-3-1-highlights/ Next game gonna be hard as hell

Top of the league with 12 points from the last 4 games, so we must be doing something right. At the start of the season I would have been more than happy with our current position, however our performance levels are still a cause for concern going forward. I realise it’s a bit early for this type of analysis, but what does the current position of the teams we've played so far tell us 6/8 Blackburn 1 (20th) Norwich 4 13/8 Norwich 0 Sheffield Wed 0 (11th) 16/8 Norwich 1 Bristol City 0 (10th) 21/8 Ipswich 1 (14th) Norwich 1 27/8 Birmingham 3 (6th) Norwich 0 10/9 Cardiff 2 (21st) Norwich 3 13/9 Norwich 2 Wigan 1 (24th) 17/9 Nottingham Forrest 1 (15th) Norwich 2 24/9 Norwich 3 Burton Albion 1 (18th) The highest place team we've played is Birmingham in 6th who thumped us 3 - 0 The highest placed team we’ve beat is Bristol in 10th. Of the 9 games we’ve played only 2 teams are 10th or higher and Birmingham is the only team in the top 6 we've played. Of the 6 wins we've had 5 of those have been against teams in the bottom half of the table. We seem to have been fortunate at the quality of the teams we’ve played so far. Still not convinced our current position is any real indicator of how well we're doing, today’s result suggests that in terms of performance it’s perhaps a case of one step forward on step back. We are certainly going to be tested much more in December & January than we have been in August & September. The next 3 Championship game are against Newcastle, Wolves and Rotherham. For me the next 2 games will give us a much better indication of our potential to stay at the top end of the table and challenge for promotion.
I didn't watch or listen today, but from this forum there are serious murmurings of seeming discontent - despite winning 4 on the spin (5 if you include Everton in the cup) and perching proudly on top of the league? It's a hard fought, gritty division, but so far, really, what's not to like?
Spot on ILD - I also voted Pinto as MotM (same as the PinkUn website!!!). He made some excellent tackles in the first half and his performance was capped with a great goal. I'm sure not many of those who've posted comments were actually at CR. Yes, it was a great save by the keeper from CJ and it was right in front of me.
The Queen of Iceni had Yellowhammer beer on after the game, so I stopped and had 2 full glasses before catching the bus home!!
