Perhaps he is conforming to the kosher dress code that Frumer rabbi from Gateshead
    laid down the other day.

If so, I agree (the period around the CL group stage demands a "higher level of piety" ) .

Doesn't Spurcat love Jol? He wore a tracksuit all the time.

Poch could wear a mankini as far as i'm concerned. I hope he doesn't, but if he wanted to then ok. Even unshaved.

Alli in the deep role, again? Not for me.

No Dier or Dembele, even on the bench. Bad cramp that.

If there's any doubt about their fitness, then I'd rather that they didn't play.
Missing a game or two is fine. Missing months isn't.
I don't think that Alli's the solution, though. I fear another slow start.

Definitely not a criticism but they tweaked their hamstrings. That wasn't cramp.

Yeah, you could tell. Completely different reaction. Hopefully it's not serious.
I question the Wembley pitch, to be honest. Still seems heavy and patchy to me, despite claims to the contrary.

    Agree on both points.
Our squad is very strong and today's line up should be good enough to beat Boro. Despite the injuries our bench still looks very strong. If we can win these games while some of our best players are resting (they maybe injured but they are resting) then it augurs well for later in the season.Hopefully Dier and Moussa will be back for Champs league on Tue.

Decent early attempt by Sissoko with his wrong foot. Looks confident, at least.

We can't allow Downing to get free crosses into the box, though it did look like Sissoko was fouled just before that.

Really concerned with Dier, Dembele, Rose and Kane missing. It's going to be a real test in my opinion.
Alli really needs to find his stride and Eriksen needs to continue his form from mid week

Respectable long shot by Alli in the end, but that move was all wrong.
Janssen in acres of space down the right and not picked out.

1-0! Son! Great run and bit of a soft finish.

    Yay!

(hoped it would have been Jansen though)

Son overdoing it. Slowed the break down too much, then tried to take on settled defenders.
    He looks dangerous, though.

Edit: As I type that, he makes another good run. Tricky.
