I like Gazza. I hate PC. It's awful now where you are treading on eggshells in case something you say might be taken up by someone and they are offended, usually on behalf of someone else (also known as virtue signalling) In the Army we had all sorts of banter. I know that the lefties hate banter and that they have no sense of humour but calling other squaddies Jock or Taff, that sort of thing (I was called Geordie until we became Mackems) is harmless, yet now people get upset. The brainwashing being carried out in Schools now is producing a generation of snowflakes. Offended at just about everything and quick to stick an 'ism on the end of any remark. You can tell when something is said if it's innocent banter or a real hateful insult yet lefties see offence everywhere. Any of you on here can slag me off but I wouldn't get all huffed up about it. If I call Billy a chav he wouldn't get all upset, he might come looking for me to beat me up but he wouldn't come over as a poor wee lamb with hurt feelings. He can take it. I mentioned that the lefties have no sense of humour. That's not exactly correct because all of the programs on the bbc with 'comedians' on have a common theme. If they say anything putting down Trump or Farage, the audience dutifully clap and cheer because that's what they think will make them appear as a nice person. I'm so pissed off with political correctness. I've lived abroad (Middle East and Germany) for over 45 years and have never ever been in any racial type of situation. I treat all people the same. You get crap people in all countries but mainly people are ok. It's just that PC is like a cancer, it starts off with little things. I first noticed it when jokes about Mothers in law were banned and look at the monster it has become. I think Gazza is more sinned against that sinner. I know people who have met him and they all find him a good lad. If there are any virtue signallers out there, feel free to slag me off and call me whatever 'ism you want. Unlike you lot, I won't be offended. Rant over.
