Fat, bloated, opinionated bloke who has probably never kicked a ball in his life talks cliché ridden second hand nonsense about Saints.
It does puzzle me why Redmond, a striker-in-learning, who was after all the only player able to score against the mighty Watford, is condemned for missing chances, when Charlie Austin's misses (and Shane Long's for that matter) are conveniently overlooked.
Probably because Austin is finding the net still. I agree though they all have missed some sitters. Long needs a goal badly, you could see how frustrated he was getting yesterday, especially after missing to set up Hesketh (he did smile in the end).
I'll have you know I am not fat and I have played to a decent standard but all the rest is probably true.
I'll have you know I'm a *thin* opinionated bloke who has probably never kicked a ball in his life talks cliché ridden second hand nonsense about Saints.
This was posted on SaintsWeb, not sure where to post it. "Puel is dealing with the Academy players in a completely different way to Koeman. Morale amongst all the youth players is extremely high again and the hunger is back. From what I hear they are all loving the new management team; they feel involved because Puel spends time with them all, takes a huge interest in their training sessions and matches and the promise of a pathway into the first team is back on track."
Probably been mentioned but worth repeating anyway. From October 20th we play Inter (A), Man City (A), Chelsea (H) and Inter (H). Sunderland (H) in the EFL has spoilt the sequence a bit so I left them out for not being glamorous enough. What a string of fixtures!
That's good to hear. There's a lot of satisfaction in watching the Academy lads coming through the ranks. How did Harry Reed play against Palace by the way?
When I commented on buying a ticket to see Inter at SMS, one of my mates said "Christ, I thought you lot still played Carlisle for a glamour fixture" !! He then laughed at his own joke (a terrible scouse habit) and added, "Show's far you've come, mate." How true
He was very good. When you think he was up against some man mountains and won 90% of his 50/50s, it was quite remarkable. I think his influence on the game was quoet but steady. Note, statistics made up but seemed right to me!
Ralph Krueger has just coached Team Europe to the final of the World Cup of Hockey. Stuck his name into Twitter and he's getting a lot of complimentary comments and good coverage. Lots seem to think that an NHL job offer will be coming his way pretty soon.
