I agree, they paid more than £20 million a year for the rights to The Voice. Its a bloody talent show with spinning chairs, how hard would it have been to come up with their own concept!
Dying medium my arse. This is the golden age of tv shows, with as much being spent on them as they spend of movies. Narco's GOT Walking Dead Ray Donovan Stranger Things Vinyl This list is endless of great TV shows nowadays. Don't be a pretentious twat, the pretentious bit doesn't suit you.
TV is at the strongest point it has been for years, just look at Game of Thrones - arguably the biggest thing outside of Star Wars right now on film or TV. It's easy to say TV is **** if you only focus on reality shows. That's like saying all music is **** because you focus on Coldplay or Nickelback. At the moment, film is the dying breed. Too many franchises, not enough independent or original movies.
The french still manage to make quite a few decent independent movies. If you've got the right sky package try TV5 Monde and put subtitles on, unless you speak french of course...
There's nothing more British than millions of people getting pissed off because a baking show has moved channels.
Mary Berry announces she's staying with the BBC. Channel 4 have just bought the world's most expensive tent.
You'd think Channel 4 would have made sure to get the presenters onside before they made their bid Does any of that list not involve people getting punched, stabbed, shot, etc?
