You're so transparent it's laughable. Taylor was the weakest player from the starting 11. You only chose Taylor because of your hatred for Guido. Britton was immense, Amat and van der Hoorn had a solid game. Baston has huge potential from what I saw tonight. Never stopped running, always looking to make intelligent runs. This was much better from swansea, Hopefully we can build on this. The loss was a dissapointment but I'm confident that IF the players can mirror how we played in the first half all season we'll be fine.

If we play that team I think we'll give them a game for 60 minutes on Saturday before Guido takes Montero, Leon and Baston off.
We'll have to play on the counter attack so will have to be deep. We'll need the pace of Montero and Barrow so he best play them. I'm concerned he won't think like that and play full backs as wingers to try to nullify their wing threat instead of thinking of what we can do when we win the ball back. Stones can be got at.

You couldn't have watched the game tonight Dai, because we were anything but crap tonight.

Guido has got to be brave though. Britton needs to start more, Cork didn't have a bad game but I think Leon leads better. I'd also love to see Llorente and borja start together. Llorente's hold up play and bastions pace could do wonders.

Taylor was very good tonight even the commentator said so.....Its the old Swansea thing again that as Taylor is the one to vent your blame on as there is one player every season then you wont see his good play tonight.....Im not so childish i see it as it is and many agree that Taylor had a good game.........You cant even see your pet player getting muscled of the ball ffs the only time he made a decent pass was when he had space but as soon as he was challenged he gave the ball away....

Britton was class today! I honestly don't think you actuality watched the game this evening Dai. Its no coincidence that our midfield was 100x better tonight with him playing.

It could have easily been 2-2 at the end. The thing that frustrates me is the negative set up. I honestly think we would have got something today if we had two wingers on the pitch.

^^^^THIS! Baffled at the way we set up (lack of width) and City were not out of first gear for most of that. Guidolin is way too timid for my tastes. However, this was a definite improvement on recent performances.

Can't agree with Dai on Taylor and thought he was pretty awful again. How players can get paid what they do and not beat the first man on a corner is beyond me. Leon had a very decent, though not perfect performance. Dai is right that he was muscled off the ball a few times but he made up for it in so many other ways imo. He certainly makes us tick. Baston looks lively.

No shame in losing to probably the future Champions. Hopefully our players will have learned from that.

Looked better tonight, which will stand us in good stead later on because we're not going to be playing teams from the top of the hill every week, just for the next month.

During this time we must face up to things and use these games to get what need; confidence through improved performance. Concentrating on our performance, learning and improving every game is the only way we are going to become competitive and ready for the rest of the season. We need to get our mojo back and confidence will get it for us.

Its easy to get too, we already know the system, we already have the game plan and its all conveniently stored in the muscle memory of most of our players. They've successfully played in the system for years. All the squad needs from Guidolin is to little words "Go play". He wont need to say or do anything more because the players already know what to do, its in them.

Tonight was proof of it, we played as we've always played. We were admittedly very rusty and offered little in the way of a threat, although Borja looked pretty good to me and all the new boys fitted in and looked good. To be more effective we just need to play that way more often, practice makes perfect.

Who knows, if Guidolin lets us play then we may be able scare the b'jeebus out of Arsenal again in a couple of weeks time.

Guidolin needs to learn our way because his way ain't working.

Knowledge improves confidence improves performance improves results and our squad already has this knowledge, its the Swansea way.

You say we played well......No we were allowed to play better but when it came to it we were second class.....Citeh never got out of cruse mode and had the game won before it started....It was not long ago that citeh would have to play their best team and struggle to win....It's not long ago we did the double over man utd and Arsenal ......Now that is good football not the crap we see today so dont get confused between the two styles because your kidding yourselves....If we have to rely on Leon today then im sorry folks we are in a more terrible state than first thought....It goes to show when you say he was class <laugh> Bloody hell if a player past his best is class then there is no hope for us.......
