Hughes must be ****ting himself...bottom of the PL table, -11 GD and little old Hull City are coming to town for a league cup match he probably doesn't need. We need to win tonight to keep them in the ****....if they lose to us and then their neighbours on the weekend Hughes is gone. Not the team I expected to be struggling at the start of the season but I'll take it.
Great piece on a previous meeting... NOSTALGIA: The last great win under Peter Taylor http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2014/03/nostalgia-the-last-great-win-under-peter-taylor/
I ****ing loved that game. And I ****ing loved Peter Taylor. Even though he once called me a "****ing prat".
"just five minutes later Delaney chipped one to Parkin, with his back to goal, on the edge of the box. He held off a defender via his dimensions alone as he got the ball under control, before doing an exquisite Cruyff turn to get the ball in space on his left and burying it past Simonsen." "Cruyff turn" and "Jon Parkin" in the same sentence shouldn't work! But I was there and saw it in the flesh....a great day!!
I don't think there is one Chazz, it doesn't appear to be on any channels. Our Australia and Canada section can't find anything their side.
I get some on here, it looks like were not on any. radio stoke/Blunderside me thinks http://liveonsat.com/
Is the first goal in this vid one of them? It looks like old Stamford Bridge to me. (If not, there's some great stuff in this vid regardlesd) There's a British Pathé vid on the resulting replay too.
Ideal team on paper to include all the new kids in right places and rest lots. Managers never seem to play the complete change team and seem to like a blend, having a mix of some regulars. We will see, soon.
Spot on Quill - that first goal is one of the two Waggy got that day @ Stamford Bridge (can't remember if it was the first or second one though. Well done mate.
